DH and I have FINALLY found a baby girl name we both like and it's Bethany. I've only ever met one Bethany in my life. It's not too popular which I love, and the spelling is definitely simple. I like Bethany Lara but I've already been asked if we chose Lara from tomb raider. Lol. We didn't but we could just tell people we did if it comes down to it.

DHs dads initials are BWL, and DHs initials are BWL, diff first name, same middle name. So he wats our son to have the same initials. I was thinking Blake, and his middle name is Wesley... Blake is also my littlest brothers middle name. And it's kind of popular, but not extremely IMO. Only ever met one Blake but I've been scouring baby name sites and we can't agree on a single other baby boy name that starts with B

Bethany is a great name! And you really don't owe anyone an explanation of the MN Lara. I don't know why people think everyone names their kids after movie characters??

Thanks for your response. I'm so glad so many people like Blake Wesley. I don't really like the name Wesley but you can't change a family name lol. I'll live as long as he doesn't wanna be called by his mn

Bethany Lara is a great name. And definitely don't feel the need to say that Lara is from Tomb Raider. People may make that connection, but it's easy to just say, "nope, we just loved the name."

Blake Wesley is a great choice too.

I love Blake. Blake Wesley is great.

I like Bethany. I do know one toddler named Bethany and one 30 year old, but that's it. Nice, not uber-popular choice.

Thank you ladies! I'm so happy I've finally picked out names so that way when I Do finally get my LO I will be happy with the names
When I was younger I loved really stupid names. Like you guys would tell me to gtfo if I told you some of the names I liked. Oh and I liked to spell them COMPLETELY ridiculous.
