Never had this before. Watery the last 2 days and ewcm today. Af is due anywhere from tomorrow to wed (lp has been wonky since mirena was pulled 3 months ago). Would it be dropping progesterone from the corpus luteum degrading allowing the estrogen in my body to produce fertile cm? Here is my attempt at putting in my chart. Hope it works My Ovulation Chart Edited link

Re: What causes fertile cm right before af is due?

  • Easiest answer-Hormones. You can get fertile CM anytime in your cycle. It is not the best indicator of fertility.

  • It can occur any time in your cycle. I did have lots of EWCM right before my BFP. So much so that I kept going to the bathroom because I thought it was my period starting.
  • I always get lots of EWCM randomly throughout my LP, and it ramps up just before my period. In fact, I tell my hubby I must have sexy pheromones then, because he always seems to be gung-ho for awesome sex the day or so before my period starts and I'm always well-self-lubricated.  Seriously, thinking you get EWCM only when you're ovulating is such an erroneous myth.  Nothing is wrong if you have it at other points in your cycle, nothing specific causes it, it just is.
