Hi ladies, Did you know after a bfn IVF cycle it's not uncommon to have your next cycle extended for an average of 10 or more longer than normal? In my 2 years on IF board I never learned this. Thank God for Google because I'm currently seven days past my normal AF start date. And now the only thing freaking me out is that it will come later this week while I'm volunteering for five days straight during our towns festival. No one likes AF and port-o-poties #firstworldproblems.
Aside from that, doing OK. Looking forward to the fest because it equals days of fun and drinking with my volunteer friends. Still no word on the short sale house, but just woke up from a dream that they finally said yes.
Thanks for the check-in @buggirl72, I hope things calm down soon.
@katib77 sorry for the long cycle, I hope it ends soon and everything with house works out!
@HoldingOutHope good luck with the testing and fun summer plans!
We had to delay the first IUI because of a cyst (never had one so I was kind of pissed). After going over four different scenarios of what it could mean, I got sent home with a trigger shot and BCP. Bloodwork showed it wasn't a follicle ready to go so I get to be on BCP for three weeks to make it go away quickly (also first time I have taken these, a lot of firsts this week). After being pissed for a few days I am over it. Now just trying to get some things out of the way before August including getting back to work on a book project and trying to close on a house (waiting to hear if the owners will make some repairs).
AFM: I am in my 2ww and just trying to keep my mind off it. I really don't want to see a BFN so I am trying to hold off on testing till CD28 (I am CD22).

Hey hey beautiful, thanks for looking in on us! My apologies for being absent from the checkin lately, we're still in a big ol' NTNP limbo while waiting for our OB appointment next week and, to be honest, it kind of feels like we're just waiting for the inevitable end of our TTC journey. As sad as it sounds, this prospect doesn't terrify me nearly as much as it once did. We've only sort of skirted the issue in our discussions of late, I think we're both hesitant to be be the one to 'call it' if the other's not ready, but in the end we both know we just can't go forward with anything further in terms of treatment, so it comes down to how long we can muster the will to keep trying on our own.
I do have to admit that letting it all go somewhat these last few months, not temping or even seriously trying, has been a bit of a relief, a breather almost. I thought I'd go crazy not charting, but I'm actually surprised by the amount of peace I've found in not having the stress of hitting FW and monitoring everything in my cycle foremost on my mind all the time. I've always had a hard time giving up control in any aspect of my life, so this 'que sera sera' attitude I'm increasingly finding in myself is an interesting development to say the least.
At any rate, non-TTC life carries on full force for both of us. Hubby is almost done the online portion of his school program, he's got one more big test this week and then he'll be preparing to leave for his six week stint at the actual school. I'll be leaving for Orlando in just over a week, heading there for a full-on geek-out at LeakyCon. LeakyCon is, I imagine, sort of like Comic Con but on a much smaller scale with a Harry Potter base, and it's really just a big happy fandom love-in. And we get to go to a private night event just for convention attendees at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, so amazing and fun! I know I'm just a big child at heart, but I embrace that fully!

Hi ladies and thanks for the checkin @buggirl72. I am also in the TWW. I ovulated later than usual this cycle but at least it was while I was in town. (I am currently OOT working.) I am 6dpo and the wondfos are already calling my name even though I know it is way too early. I bought supplies yesterday to try to learn how to knit to occupy my brain and I'm currently pretty frustrated with it. I have started over 3 or 4 times. I'm currently headed off to work in a few minutes. All in all I'm in pretty good spirits but worried my hopes are up too high for this cycle and a BFN will lead to a huge crash.

@gscoville - I'm sorry you see the end of TTC in sight, but so glad at the same time that you find it more peaceful than expected. ((Hugs)). And can I just say that I am *so* jealous of your upcoming trip? That sounds most awesome. Please, please, please post a report after you return...yes?
Thanks and ((hugs)) back. I'll definitely report back to the board with pics, I know there are more than a few other HP lovers out there and I look forward to sharing.

Hi ladies! Thanks for the check-in @buggirl72 . AF finally showed up last Monday and it was miserable but I can start doing some OPK charting now, so that's helpful, Still playing the waiting game on our testing. Thankfully work has been keeping me crazy busy. Going out of town for work tomorrow which means another busy week but it keeps my brain occupied during this down time, so I'm grateful for that. Have my blood draw for a lot of my RPL testing scheduled for 8/4 and hoping the baby's test results come back in the next few weeks, so we can get our MFM appointment scheduled and figure out how to proceed.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and has a good week

To my angels- I held you every second of your lives and I'll love you every second of mine.
I am at the end of my 2ww and guessing I am out dpo15 and still bfn. If this cycle is a bust I will go on my third and last letrozole cycle and then it will be another RE visit and a new plan.
I did get to keep my postition at work and should be getting 2 raises soon woohoo. One because my yearly review is next week, and one because my department and duties change. So now my staff doubles and I am sure many of the current staff will change... I am ready for change.
I have had the last 4 days off and have acomplished very little. I did pick and process 30lbs of blueberries. Some are jam, some are frozen, some are clean and ready for eating. We got chemically poisioned saturday night due to a clogged drain and some drain cleaner...no bueno. So we slowed down a bit yesterday.
Hi everyone! Thanks for the check-in @buggirl72. I went in today for my baseline b/w and u/s with new RE. I am ready to get this show on the road! The new office is so much bigger and it appears to run a lot more efficiently, so I'm feeling confident I made the right decision to switch doctors.
For those of you who have or are going down the IVF path, I'm looking for advice on CCS testing. My insurance will partially cover two procedures. If I choose to do CCS testing with FET, that will be the end of coverage. Do I take a chance and go with a live transfer on my first try, knowing that I can get another cycle partially covered, or should I proceed with CCS, and hope I get lucky on the first try? Financially, I don't think I can swing more than one additional procedure. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Wishing you all the best...

May I join you ladies? I will turn the big 3-5 this Friday. My TTC status is currently benched. I had a ultrasound & hysteroscopy at my RE's office last week and he informed me that I have retained tissue in my uterus left over from my D&C on May 1, which was my 3rd loss. The RE informed me I will need to have another procedure (operative hysteroscopy) to remove the tissue. While he was looking inside my ute, he also saw that I have a 2cm endometrioma on my right ovary. He doesn't want to do a lap to remove the endometrioma because he said the cyst is on the small side and that, with my age, messing around with my ovary will probably do more harm than good.
The RE did say, however, that the endo speeds up my timetable in terms of TTC. Prior to discovering the endo, he had recommended we continue to try on our own for a few months. Now he's recommending that we move on to letrozole + ovidrel + IUI once I've recovered from the operative hysteroscopy. I'm thinking I'll probably have to wait for one normal AF before moving on to IUI, but I need to follow up. It was sort of a lot of information all at once, so I have a message in for the doc to get back to me about some questions.
@BookishMomma welcome to the group. Sorry your journey hit a bit of a bump in the road, but sounds like you have a plan (even if it is currently information overload). I can't remember off hand if you are on the TTC>35 board already, but feel free to join us over there, too, if you are not. FX the surgery goes well and you can move forward quickly.

My pc is on the fritz so I'm mobile and can't see your history. How many lossses have you had and were any ruled chromosome abnormal? That would really weigh into my advice.
@katib77 - 5 IUIs with injectables. One loss (4th try). I'm 41.

Hmmmm tough one, but I think I'd forgo CCS given one loss, your age, and amount of coverage. I was told with my AMA that the bad eggs would most likely not even make it to day five blast stage (where they should be for ccs) so unless you have any known chromosome issues that you know of -there will probably be a lower response rate and few eggs make it than younger women (I only had three eggs at day 3 and one day five for my first IVF and one egg make it to day 3 second round) and the blamed it on bad egg quality mainly. CCS is more for multiple loss or known chromosome issues, it's not an age thing.
@katieb77 - My acupuncturist also suggested the same route. I really appreciate the advice b/c I feel a bit clueless re: IVF. Thank you!

Hey ladies! You guys are awesome! I'll try to come on tonight and respond to your posts.
Update on me - I have an appointment on Friday with the doc because he was concerned with me having my cycles shorten to 14 days. On the positive side, I have had no heavy days but 7 days of spotting/light flow every other week gets old pretty quick.
