TTC After a Loss

Working out

I'm new to this page so sorry in advance if this is an annoying question to some. I had my mc on the 14th. I am trying to get back to normal but I am feeling some pain (like stabbing) in my stomach and have a real lack of energy. I know part of the energy piece is from feeling sad about what has happened, a nice cure is working out. I was wondering how soon any of you got back to that routine? 

Clearly I'll also ask my ob on Wed

  • It took a while before I really felt up to working out. If your loss was just this week I would definitely wait a little longer before working out. And like you already said, ask your OB.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I agree with prior posters on asking your dr.

    I waited two weeks before I went on my first run after my D&C and I took it easy, it made me mentally feel much better so I understand what you are saying, but having the pain you are, I think it's better to wait to talk to your doc. There will be plenty of time to work out and regain energy once your body has had time to heal.

    Thank you all for such kind words and good advice. 

    It was natural, they did find a csyt, and I have some infection so I am on two types of antibotics. I'll wait for the all clear. 
     
    You all are encourging and I am so thankful.

  • If you're still having any kind of pain I would hold off on working out and talk to you dr.

    I got back into exercise within a week or so but started slowly with just walking. But this was only after any pain/discomfort had subsided.
