I feel that I'm just seeing the same stuff over and over again. Are there any truly 2010's names out there? I'm not talking about "Youneek" names but names our kids generation will be credited with starting. Just getting frustrated I guess.
I don't feel like there are new names that aren't youneek. Name fads tend to go in waves. That's why "old lady" names are coming back. They will become newly popular with this generation but they didn't start the trend.
Some suggestions of older names that haven't come back yet: Della Maude Irma Marjorie Pauline
Names like Kinsley and Caden/Braydon that are people going "I like X more popular name but it's too popular/dated. I'll change it slightly for a NEW name." Nope. You're just butchering Mackenzie and Aidan. Not youneek, but not good either.
Sure, there are plenty of names that have emerged from nothing into stardom in the past 15 years, many of which will fade away in the next 15.
Surely, the one that will go down in history is Nevaeh. It was extremely rare before Sonny Sandoval named his daughter Nevaeh in 2000 (8 Nevaehs born in 1999, 1,198 in 2001). By 2005, it was a top-100 name and rose as high as #25 nationally. And now it is going the way of similar flashes in the pan (think Crystal in the 1980s).
Plenty of other names get invented or popularized and will scream 2010-2015 to our grandkids. All those little girls named Vanellope or Khaleesi or Daleyza are tied to 2010s pop culture, as are boys named Jayceon and Jase and Iker. Names like Everly and Bentley and Oakley and Brantley are all having a moment in the sun. And plenty of parents are using nouns that don't have long histories as names as names (think of boys named Briar or girls named Journey).

I agree that the same suggestions are being used over and over again on these boards. If you are always suggesting Violet, Emma, or Scarlet for every girl name pretty soon those will be the trendy popular names that we all get sick of hearing. Not sure how this doesn't make sense??
Much love for Callahan! I have a friend who just had twins and named the boy Cal and I absolutely love it (girl is Quinn).
Just remember that everything has a season. The newer and fresher it feels, the harder it will fall once a trend changes. A classic might feel boring but you won't cringe in a few years after the dust settles. You have to find your comfort zone on that continuum.

Well 1. I wish we had that much influence, but we don't. 2. There is way more variety in our suggestions than you give us credit for. E.g., pay attention the next time @bromios posts a name list. Way beyond Violet and Emma.
What does it mean for a name to be "new"? I don't really see any alternatives between a name coming out of nowhere and being a random combination of phonemes you threw together eleven seconds ago, and a name that has some etymological meaning, cultural associations, or other significance. DD's name is "new" in the sense that it's a family surname that has almost never been used as a FN, but we still didn't pull it out our asses, and it's a name nobody here could have suggested. While I love this board and most of the ladies here have great taste and make awesome suggestions, I think a lot of people would do better to consider what names would be unique because they have family or personal significance, not just the same pool of trendy names/random surnames as first names/top 10 names that everyone else is pulling from.

I agree with pps that I wouldn't want a 2010s name- I want a name that is solid and has been around. Partly, for me, that's because I feel more comfortable with a proven name- I think I'm less likely to regret it or get sick of it. I am also unlikely to ever get a tattoo because I would probably regret it!
That said, I think looking at your family names (first and last) is a great option, but also pp suggestion of nameberry. There are so many blog posts with different themes- tons of really amazing underused names.

Do you have a link handy? I'm on mobile, and not easily finding the page/post about 2010s decade names.
