5 weeks pregnant & hcg level of 180.. Advice!?

I went to the ER on Tuesday evening. I was having menstrual like cramps on and off. I was worried considering in September I had a miscarriage and around this time last year I was pregnant. Anyways, I got my hcg levels done and they came back to be 180. They sent me in for an ultrasound and said they couldn't see anything. This had me really worried.. My lmp was June 10th or 11th. I'm not sure when I got pregnant or ovulated. I would like some advice. I'm waiting on a call back from an obgyn. I have no peace in mind.

You may have just O'd late.  When coupled with slow implantation, it can really delay hcg betas and US findings.  Sending T&Ps your way!

Yeah, I think you should get your betas redone again to make sure they are raising steadily.  I thought I should be 5 weeks pregnant today based on my last period, but my cycle was really messed up due to a chemical pregnancy.  I got my betas done on Thursday and today (Saturday)  Thursday they were 112 and today they were 266.  My dr was pleased.  She wasn't concerned that I thought I was 5 weeks and the levels were only 266.  She said she was more concerned with whether they were doubling or not.  So for peace of mind, I would get your betas checked again.  Hope this helps.

My cycles are usually in order which had me really worried about my low hcg levels. I will get my hcg levels re-done again probably Tuesday or Saturday. I guess I'm putting things on hold because I'm really worried for bad news again.. Thank you.

I had a friend in this exact situation! And now she has a 6 month old baby! You have to stay positive.

I hope all is well and betas show a good rise. I don't want to alarm you, but have they ruled out an ectopic pregnancy? They are quite rare, but if you have severe pain, especially if it is on one side, you should head back to the ER. I hope your cramps Go away and all is fine!!

You can't see anything on us until hcg levels are between 2500-4000 depending on the type and style of ultrasound.

Good luck on rising betas! Doubling is what matters . You usually have to be at around 2500 for anything to show up! Hope that helps:)
