what do you feed your LO

I haven't posted for a while I've just been lurking. I'm glad most of you all are still on here. It's almost a year my LO is growing way to fast!

This probably been ask but I'm mobile and this whole moblie app is laggy. what do you feed your LO? he's been into finger food and all I've been feeding him is chicken noodle soup with veggies. I want something different for him. if you could recommend anything? and had anyone have their LO tofu yet?

TIA

Re: what do you feed your LO

  • LO will never get tofu! That's just my personal choice though. He usually eats chicken, steak, green beans, baked beans, brocolli, avacado or guacamole, strawberries, peaches, bananas.... To name a few!

  • DS likes tofu. Was approved by the pedi. He loves it. We give him a little bit probably once a week (which is how often we eat it).

Peanut butter toast, yogurt bites, broccoli, pasta, baked potato pieces, zucchini, cucumber, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and shrimp.

That is just to name a few. She hates purées so she really just eats a little bit of solids. She would eat a whole piece it toast if I let her, but I don't like the idea of stuffing her up with carbs.

  • She loves toast (I usually put a fruit puree on it), pasta with sauce, bbq chicken, watermelon & sweet potato fries.

  • Pretty much everything listed above. We steam the harder fruits and veggies and we also do chick peas, kidney and black beans, ground beef or turkey just crumbled up and browned in a pan, rice and sometimes the little puff things by Gerber if they are on sale.
I like the tofu idea but have absolutely no clue how to cook it.
  • LOs just recently got the hang of the pincer grip and are really into self feeding now. We've done blueberries cut in halves or fourths, watermelon, turkey, fish, pasta, bread, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, havarti cheese, also we get Indian food a lot and they love it - lots of stewed veggies in various sauces.

  • My kid is an eater. He loves everything I've given him, thank god, and he eats a ton of solids. I made him pasta beef bolognese with baby sized pasta shells and tons of shredded veggies. That's his favorite dinner so far. He eats small cubes of cheddar cheese (white cheddar), beans, broccoli, lentils, sweet potatoes, tilapia, chicken, pork roast, turkey, sautéed spinach, steamed carrots, avocado, peas, zucchini, Greek yogurt, all kinds of fresh fruit cut into small pieces, graham crackers (he snatches them from my hands while I snack on them, stinker), everything really! I haven't tried peanut butter or eggs yet. Gonna check with the pedi first at his 9 mo appointment next week. I use a cookbook called "top 100 baby purées", and it just don't purée the food. Good healthy stuff in that book! I make 3 meals a week for him, mostly from those recipes. I freeze a lot, too.

  • For those of you who cook carrots how do you prepare them? I must do it wrong because they come out kind of rubbery and gross looking.

  • DD eats #allthefoods

    Why no corn @crunchymama11‌?
@ballygirl‌ I just smash the blueberries so they aren't round. I cut grapes in half.
  • LO gets whatever we are having. Fish, poultry, meat, veggies, fruit, bread/rolls/toast, and even the ones many people wait on like eggs and peanut butter.

My main concern is limiting sodium. But in general, she gets what we get.
  • Why the fuck do we eat corn if it's not digestible?! #concerned

It tastes good. Surely you've seen the evidence of non-digestion!?!!? We had corn with dinner last night. C won the contest of "who saw the corn first?" this morning with her first diaper change.

This is outrage! I hoped perhaps its vibrant yellow color is why it stands out so much in a turd, but alas my dear corn - my feelings are hurt.

  • For dinners, he has a puree, then he eats what we eat.  Last night he had a Plum Organics red beans and rice puree pouch, then some of my flounder and zucchini.  Saturday, he ate ribs, zucchini and cantaloupe.  He's had spaghetti, steak, chicken, all kinds of fish, pork tenderloin, all the veggies and fruits.  He hasn't met a food he doesn't like.  We just cut it in small pieces and let him go.

Soup and veggies sound boring.  Give that baby some real food!

  • I eat tofu all the the time, so DS does also. I am really into grilling extra firm tofu right now. I just marinade it overnight and toss it on the grill. Since DS is eating it I look for low or no sodium marinades, or make my own.
