Trying to Get Pregnant

wondfo on Amazon

Most of you suggested wondfo opk's and I had found a great combo pack for 50 opks and 20 hpt's.  I thought it was a great deal until I started reading the pgr test post, where several mentioned the wondfo pregnancy tests gave false readings.  Is it worth paying and extra $1-$3 for pgr tests?  At this point I would be hesitant to use them but it almost seems like the deal is too good to pass up.

  • I say get them. Cost is nominal and they are usually pretty reliable aside from bad batches. Plus, you would follow up any + with an FRER, and then digital if that was positive as well.

But there have been false negatives as well.

  • What about stocking up on the dollar store tests that cost a dollar?

Thats my other option.  The wondfo's were 20 tests for only a few dollars.  Though believe it or not, tests are kept behind the counters at our dollar stores here because people steal them
8-|  so the stores are often sold out

Why type out pregnancy once but prg or "pgr" the rest of the time?

That is the combo I bought, it was a good deal. I liked having the hcg test so I didn't feel guilty peeing on expensive tests all the time. But I also knew their recent history so I had frer backups in case I needed them.

FWIW, I bought the same thing.  My tests were accurate, and I still use them every couple of days just to make sure I'm still pregnant.  They are a cheap way to indulge my crazy.

  • @puppylove84 I did the same thing when I was pregnant - kept using my wondfos. I now realize how silly that was since my miscarriage - it takes weeks for the hcg to leave your system, so you would still test positive even if you are miscarrying. Hope you have a H&H nine months!
Yeah, I know.  Like I said, crazy.  But seeing those dark lines (even if they're lying) is helping me deal with the anxiety waiting for my first appointment. Better those than drinking!

I'm either really sad that the people who feel they need to steal tests are possibly becoming pregnant or really sad that they are in such a precarious situation where they feel they need to steal them...

I have the combo pack and use the wondfos HCG tests to deal with my desire to compulsively POAS.  I know it is ridiculous but doesn't cost much.  If it is positive I'll pee on a FRER.  If it is negative and I'm late, I will pee on a FRER.  If I get a false positive I may change my tune.

My guess is their either teenagers or people who are embarrassed. I live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. If you went to check out with an HPT, the whole town would know within a week.
