Intro/ OB that delivers at HUMC?

Since I'm new here, I figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Diane and I just recently found out I was PG a few weeks ago after experiencing one ectopic pg and ttc-ing for almost a year. We were working with an RE, but got pg before starting any treatment!

I'm looking for recommendations for OBs that deliver out of HUMC. My current GYN doesn't deliver and the RE told me to print out a list of OBs from my provider website. The list is 150 + names long. I really wish they would just give me a list of several names and then I can see if my insurance covers them.

Hi Diane, I assume you're referring to Hoboken University Medical Center. I plan on delivering there (due 12/14/14). We live a few blocks away. I currently go the OB practice Brescia and Miggliacio on Washington Street, above Planet Fitness. I've been there three times so far. Sonograms are done at separate appointments downstairs so that can be a bit annoying and sometimes there's a wait, but no complaints otherwise. All staff have been friendly and helpful, and they definitely deliver at HUMC.

When are you due? Are you in Hoboken?

I would take HUMC to mean Hackensack. If that is the case, Dr. Anna Collado delivered all 3 of my kids. Her office is located 2 blocks from the hospital and I have been very happy there.

Hi Diane,

I recently moved to Westwood and need a new OB-GYN, preferably who delivers at Hackensack as well. While I'm not currently pregnant, we are trying to convceive. I have heard that Dr. Dicker, located on Old Hook Road, is very good and has a nice practice, but for myself, I want a woman doctor. If a man is good for you, he's the only consistent OBGYN recommendation I've heard. If you hear of any female doctors in the area, I'm all ears.
