NCDR Why is daycare so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short. We had a daycare provider flake on us right before I went back to work so we had to scramble and find a new one. We found a brand new person who had just been licensed, had a clean, nice home and was great with DS. We LOVE her! We have been there for two months and yesterday she told us that because she hasn't been able to get more kids she was going to have to close down and go back to work. I DON't want to lose her and I DON'T want to find another daycare. I hate this. I even posted a plea on the San Diego board to get her more kids and I amy or may not have tried to bribe my assistant to move her three kids there...FML

I'm so sorry. That sucks. I'm surprised she hasn't been able to get enough kids. Seems like daycare is in high demand. Has she tried all the websites like sitter city and care.com? Even craigslist?

When my SIL was trying to book more clients for her daycare, she left her info with the local schools to recruit the teachers' preschool-age kids. Now would be the prime time to do that since school is about to start back!
