Hey!

I have questions for you!! We have been trying to potty train DS for a little over a month now. We started off by going cold turkey and putting him in underwear. He had a few accidents but even on the first day he pooped in the potty. We sent him to daycare with underwear and after he had a few accidents at daycare (he is there full time 5 days a week) they put him in pullups. So now he will tell me he has to pee sometimes after he goes and poop always after. I found him in his room an hour after bedtime just kinda laying there talking because he pooped himself but didn't tell us. In the mornings we take off his diaper and always have him pee before putting on his pullup but he doesn't always go because I think he already peed a ton in his night diaper. I don't know how people potty train their kids when they work full time?? What are your suggestions? Go back to underwear when he is home or...?

Oh yeah I have also been teaching him to pee sitting down and this morning when I asked him to go he picked up the little white part of the potty that collects the pee and stands in front of me peeing in it standing up. Not sure where he learned that? Yes I know maybe he saw DH but even DH has him sit down to pee.

Wow! So maybe I am just starting too young?! I guess I won't push it but I will still ask if he wants to sit on the potty and go. Definitely need a few days of going no where to focus on just that. Thank you for all the good advice!!! I guess you do what you have to do in regards to pooping in a diaper if that is what will make him go

I have 2 yo b/g twins and am dreading potty training! So far, we have some potty books and we talk about it a lot. If I ask them if they want to go on the potty, they laugh and say no. We have a potty seat that sits on top of the toilet and they have both sat on it a few times but never go. I'm not going to push it until we're closer to 3! So many people have said that you can do it in a week when they are ready and are close to 3!
