Is it okay if I join here? (Sorry, this is really long.) (Children Mentioned)

Hi guys. I was wondering if I might be able to join here though my own TPR process is almost over?

This is our story: I am 48 and my husband is 47. We've been together since we were 16, and got married when I was 24, but by the time we wanted children, and felt really ready for them; I was forty.

We tried TTC-ing for six months naturally, but after no success went to get testing done at a fertility clinic. The results showed that whilst my husband's sperm was 10% fine, I only had a 12% chance of reproducing with my own eggs. We took a month and discussed continuing with IVF with my own eggs, egg donation and adoption, and though I preferred egg donation, we ended up deciding on adoption, and on July 2008 we adopted our eldest daughter Vilda, who was then 17 months old from within Sweden.

A year later, we decided we wanted to adopt another child, this time preferably a baby, and on May 2010, we adopted our second daughter Tindra from China, who was 2 months old.

We actually planned to not have another child, as we were very happy just the four of us. But then we received word from our Swedish adoption agency that Vilda's biological mother was pregnant again, and wished to put her child up for adoption, and the local council would prefer to keep her with at least one of her biological half-siblings. So in February 2011 we adopted our third girl, Majken, who was only a few weeks old. Doing this we also got into contact with Vilda and Majken's then 12 year old bio-half-sister, Ella, and though she lives with her paternal aunt, we look after her every other weekend.

(This is the TPR bit)
In 2012 I had to have a full hysterectomy, but early 2013, we decided 'hey, why not make it six?' we looked into adoption again, but we also looked into egg donation and surrogacy. My step-niece offered to be a traditional surrogate, and though it took us a while to accept, since she has no children of her own, and we imagined it would be a lot for a 23 year old, we did, and in August of that last year, we started TTC-ing though at-home artificial insemination. In November we got a BFP!

So we're now only a month off the EDD, and so far the pregnancy has went very well, no problems at all. We know we're having a girl, and we are pretty settled on the name Novalie, or Saga.

So that's us! Thank you for putty up with reading something that long, haha.
