Welcome to the TTC a Rainbow Sibling check-in. This check-in is a for TTCAL-ers with living children to talk about the issues about TTCAL while you have a living child. Living children and pictures of living children are welcome here, however if your pictured child is an infant (< a year old), please do place a warning at the beginning of your post to alert ladies who are having a hard day.  You do not have to be active on the PAL board in order to be a member of this check-in, however, if you plan on posting on the main board please post an intro there.

I'm headed off to a hysteroscopy today at the RE's office, so I don't have time to personalize the check-in for each of you, but please pop in and update us as to how you are doing! Here's a picture of a beautiful rainbow that I saw this week out my back door that I want share with you all. It's the second rainbow I've seen in 2 weeks. Gotta be a good sign, right?

Hello! I'd like to join this check-in! A little about me...I was very active on TTCAL after my first and second losses. I also spent a lot of time on PGAL and my BMB when pregnant with my DS. I took a bit of a bump break when my DS was a few months old-life got a little overwhelming! I've been back on the boards for a few weeks and I'm 13 days into my first cycle TFAS. My little guy will be one next month and DH and I are both excited and a little anxious about growing our family! Lukas born 8/15/13 EDD 1 12/17/12 EDD 2 5/27/13 I've know my DH since high school (about 20 years) but we reconnected after high school on Match.com about 5 years ago. Edit spelling

Hey ladies! I've been a bit MIA lately from this check-in. I've struggled a lot with balancing weaning early to prep for FET or delaying and I think at this point I want to wait until Baby Boots has all the milk he needs before we try for #2. So we're talking probably Christmas time before we're ready to start which seems like a long way off but it's not really!

QOTW: It's been about 10 years but we only got married 2 years ago. We had a lot of on/off stuff going on at the beginning before we finally got our groove on!

Just a quick update for me today.

BFN this cycle for me, and next cycle will be clomid/trigger/TI/progesterone just like this one, and the one before. I'm getting nervous that I'm wasting time. Does anyone have experience with low AMH? I'm scared that my time is running out for us to try without IVF. My dr told me not to waste too much time, but I don't really know where to go from here. Her definition of too much time is 2-3 tries per type of medicine. If this upcoming cycle is a BFN too, I don't know where we will be ttc wise.

I'm going to the zoo tomorrow with my cousin and her 3 kids, and Landon I'm excited.

For those who didn't see my re-intro on either PAL or TTCAL this week I suffered my 2nd MC this past weekend, with Beta confirmation on Monday. I was only over 5 weeks with this one and I was about 6 weeks with my last. It's been tough, but I am at least comforted in knowing I did nothing to cause this one (the last one happened because I didn't know I was pregnant when I was moving). I'm still spotting and have to go back Monday to see if my numbers are negative, which they should be since my number was at 9 this past Monday. We are on the bench until after two full cycles, which with my long cycles will take us to October at least. 

My OBs office told me that they won't be doing any additional testing with me unless I should suffer a third miscarriage (due more to insurance reasons and the fact that I have had a healthy pregnancy before). I plan to side with them on this for now, but if I have issues getting AF, or if it is not how it should be I plan to call to make sure we can at least get an u/s to make sure everything is clean in there. In the mean time, I have a goal to get myself as healthy as I can before we TTC again. I have at least 11 lbs I really should lose for my own health, but have 26 overall that I want to lose because that is when I felt the best health wise. I hope several of you go on to PgAL while I'm on the bench, and I will help send support while you all need it!

rslh10 I haven't had my AMH tested yet (still dealing with issues from my D&C... see below). But I know there are lots of ladies on TTCAL and PGAL who have low AMH that I'm sure can give you some good info.

My update: I just got back from my hysteroscopy and let's just say it didn't go well. I have to have a repeat D&C to remove retained tissue. I posted the other details on TTCAL:

QOTW: DH and I met in December 2000, but didn't start dating until May 2004 and got married in Sept 2007. So... We've known each other almost 14 years? Yikes!

Hi @BookishMomma! Thanks for the check-in. I read on TTCAL that your hysteroscopy didn't go very well. I'm so sorry, that really stinks   I hope the doc is able to get everything out at your next D&C.

As for me, i'm in the 2ww. I *think* today is 9dpo, because i'm not exactly sure when I O'd. I just guessed that I O'd 2 days after my trigger since I had a ton of cramps that day. I think i'll test on Tuesday which is DH's birthday. Hopefully we'll have some good news.

QOTW: DH and I have known each other for 11 years now. We dated on and off for 3 years then finally stayed on and got married! We have been married for almost 8 years now.

@Bookishmomma thanks so much for the check-in!  I am so freaking sorry about the retained tissue.  Just unbelievable.  I am so sorry you have to have another D&C.  What is the plan after?  For me, after my retained tissue D&C, AF showed right away, I hope it's the same for you!!

@BootsorHearts  ((hugs))  I had a tough time weaning my second (she was severely allergic to formula) so I had so much pressure on me to be her milk source until 13 months.  What kind of things are you doing for your prep for FET?

@rslh10 it sounds like we are in very similar situations.  Please feel free to PM me.  After 1-2 tries with both of my girls, I have now been trying for a year, have had 2 miscarriages, and learned about my IF diagnosis of low AMH (.20).  All of my other numbers are good so that seems to be my problem.  We did 3 rounds of IUI and decided to move to IVF in August.  I know exactly how you are feeling.  Feel free to reach out if you want to chat more.  I'm taking some supplements that my RE has approved and doing acupuncture.  If you search me you might pull up a thread where I posted about my AMH and got a ton of wonderful responses.  ((hugs))

AFM:

I just got the call yesterday with all of the timing and meds I'll be on for my August IVF.  I have a teaching appointment next Tuesday and then I start my testosterone patch next Thursday.  They have started to give these patches to women with low AMH.  Supposedly it helps with our response to the IVF meds.  I'm afraid I'm going to grow facial hair and have rages.  LOL.  I'm starting to get excited about everything but I need to remind myself that after everything I have been through, IVF may not work either.  I'm praying with everything I have that this works and I we can complete our family.

I'm SO excited about the new board!!  It's been a long time coming!!

QOTW:  DH and I met on the first day at college.  We all had to do this community service day and we were put at the same place.  We've been together since we were 18, for 18 years!!!

my week, so frustrated with this job I am going for. Last I heard was on July 3rd asking me to be patient while they make a decision. I followed up this week letting the hiring manager know I'd be out of town this week if he had follow up questions and added a link to an industry realted article I thought would be relevant and I consider that my hail mary. I know the longer that it goes without an offer to less likely one will come. sigh. the search continues.

I am on vaca this week with a lot of the in-laws so fx for my sanity ; )

I have known SO for 6&1/2 years and we have been married 5yrs

That isn't always the case!  With my current job that I have now working for the DOD, I interviewed in June and they didn't offer me the position until September.  There was some HR issues and even though they wanted to offer me the job right away, legally they couldn't.  Hang in there and FX that an offer comes soon.

AFM: I had a really terrible gyno appointment on the 11th. First she thought it was the follow up to my ectopic in Jan. so she checked my incisions, talked a bit, then told me to get dressed. So I did and walked out of the room, only to have the nurse come and get me from the waiting room and tell me there was a mistake and I had to go back in! Ugh.
Anyway, she told me that my babies seem to be implanting in the wrong places and but just keep trying, awesome. Well, I've talked to DH and I'm going to make an appointment with an RE.

QOTW: How long have you known your SO?

We met in a Yahoo! chat room 9 years ago, met in real life about 7 months later. We well be married 6 years in Nov.

Hi.  I haven't posted in awhile.  My cycle was wacky and I am still battling some anger and anxiety.  I cut out caffiene and that has really helped with the anxiety.  It's funny how sometimes you can be so affected by something and not realize it.  I don't think about my loss constantly anymore.... often, but not constantly and I still think that it's the source of my anger and anxiety.  It also seems to affect my short term memory.  I can't remember if I washed my hair two minutes after I washed it.  I put my phone down and have no idea where I left it.  I lose my wallet, keys... it's bad.  I feel like I have ADD or something.  I just can't focus.

I got a smiley today on the OPK.  I was out of town for the weekend and didn't temp or use OPK's but I had a feeling that it was coming based on my CM.  I used the regular and advanced OPK and both were positive/high.  I just hope I started early enough to have a good chance this cycle.  We BD Monday, Tuesday and this morning so I think we have a good chance.  I'll keep taking the OPK's and temp going forward to confirm O.  We shall see. 

Although I probably should be holding off this cycle.  I saw my RA Dr who took some more tests and was proactive in working with my OB to put a plan in place for my next pregnancy.  He suggested I go in for a consultation with my OB.  I have an appt for August 11 with an OB and Genetic Counselor.  My RA Dr thinks they will put me on Lovenox as a no harm no foul approach.  I'm also awaiting to hear my blood test results from my RA Dr.  He is retesting my clotting factors which were previously negative as well as some other things I don't recall.

When I went to see my RA Dr I had no idea that he was going to do this.  It's so nice to have someone on my side that is trying to come up with a plan for a healthy pregnancy... someone who is willing to do something and I didn't even ask.
