I don't like the word, "Thanks". It's like, I am thankful but not thankful enough to type out the extra two letters and give you a "Thank you"...
With you on this. My first boss used to write THX on every note where she requested something. Made me feel so small....
Now THAT is definitely unprofessional.
LLOL - what if its not in caps. I also use tx somtimes. Like just asking a coworker to answer a quick question. I'm not their boss by any means. To me, if i just sent over - Hey can I have a copy of that budget. It would be ruder than at least adding a tx.
I can see how coming from a boss it would get annoying. Although I'm pretty sure my boss has used it - but shes pretty much the best boss ever so it doesn't come close to offending me. Or maybe my office is just rediculously laid back.
This boss was particularly toxic, so whether it was THX or Thx or thx ... I had plenty of other reasons for wanting to leave that job.
@sarenu1 - that's when you tell the person that you're flattered they think you're so important to the company!
It's hot out. I'm feeling cranky and discouraged that we didn't get any takers to join us this afternoon in our back yard with the kiddie pool. I cast as wide as net as I could. I suppose we could go to the park but I feel like we'll just be wandering around in the heat aimlessly. I just want to turn the TV on and zone out for the rest of the afternoon.
If someone offered a play date for my toddler with a kiddy pool, I'd be there. My daughter loves those things so much, the last time we were at someones house with one she got in fully dressed.
I know, right? I figure 95% of the time, people are just waiting around for someone else to do the organizing/hosting. So I figured it's probably my turn. I dunno, maybe I just need better publicity/timing.
Also I let people know if the kiddos don't like water I have an Ikea tunnel and tent which are great for shade, and DS seems to prefer it. Oh well. I ended up making myself a cocktail and passed out on the couch while DS watched Octonauts. Kinda pathetic, but I think I have to let myself have days like this.
I love the knee length shorts. I just got 2 pairs and I wear them every day.
Right there with you.
Me too. Mh HATES them.
And what are capris? Or clam diggers? I have a pair of jeans that are to my shins and are folded. I freakin love them. Are those clam diggers and capris are higher up?
I have a co-worker that signs everything appreciatively, Name. This drives me crazy. It makes me feel like she is guilting (is that a word) me into doing something. Thanks is okay by me, but thx would drive me crazy.
I also hate capris. I have incredibly short legs so it looks like my pants are just an inch or two too short.
Dear Hollywood, Please make some movies that are 2 hours or less in length. This tired, pregnant mama can't handle your 2.5-3 hour movies. Thanks, Flumma
Is it a UO that I don't think business trips should get to be fun? While I spend two weeks alone with C, DH is being wined&dined every night and is taking company paid trips to both Hong Kong Disneyland and Universal Studios Singapore.
I do like my business trips, but mine usually don't involve freetime. I'm either in the office, working in the hotel room, or having dinner with fellow employees (which usually involves me learning what's going on at that location).
I only take business trips for conferences. Oftentimes I'll tack on a few extra days to enjoy the location after the conference is over. Though I haven't been to one since P was born. I also have the option, or the conference is at my request. I don't foresee being required to go on a business trip anytime in the near future.

I often have the same thoughts, but it's because Batman is a man of mystery.
