Did you get pregnant on a FET with only 1 embryo to thaw?

DH & I were blessed with twins in April 2012 after several IVF rounds (12 embryos transferred over 5 embryo transfers)! We have one frozen embryo from our 4th fresh cycle. We are in the process of preparing for the FET this month. I am on estradiol 2mg 3x daily now. I know the numbers...it has a~ 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy. I just hate the not knowing....waiting is SO hard! We will be fine it works or doesn't...we know how blessed we are with the twins. But, I am getting my hopes up more than I thought I would. We would never ever go back for more fresh IVF after what we've been through, and we haven't ever conceived (in 6 years) w/o IVF. So, I guess the hard part is knowing that our family is complete if this embryo doesn't result in a pregnancy.

Just wondering how many people out there got pregnant on 1 frozen embryo.

I did! We did PGS on the four embryos that made it to day 5 and only one was normal. We did an FET with her and I'm almost 12 weeks pregnant. I completely understand the feeling when you only have one. Try to stay hopeful as best you can. Fingers crossed for you!!

I had 2 to thaw (first frosties ever in 7 IVF cycles) and both survived the thaw. Both stuck.... We were shocked as both were early blasts on day 6 and weren't great quality. Even my RE didn't think they'd both be good... So, you can do just fine with one. You never know which ones are good or not.

All of my three transfers were single (one fresh and two FET).  Third time was a charm. I am 15 weeks from a 5day 3BB blast. It can surely happen. Good luck

We also did 5 embryo transfers.

1st transfer: 2 fresh embies BFN

2nd transfer: 2 frozen embies BFN

3rd transfer: 2 frozen embies BFN

Another fresh cycle - freeze all

4th transfer: 1 frozen embie Chemical

5th transfer: 1 frozen embie BFP!

I still have 4 more frozen but we only thawed 1 and it worked better than the 7 I transferred in the past! Good luck to you! We are cheering for you

I'm 12 weeks today with 1 frozen embie transfered.  We still have 2 on ice but chose to only transfer 1

We have done 2 FETs with 1 frosty. The first one did not do great with the thaw and that one did not take (lost 30% of its cells) the second one was a great thaw and I am currently 22 weeks. It is completely possible to have success with one frosty. Good luck to you and I hope to see you over here soon.

Yes! We only had one embryo to thaw. We had done PGS testing, so we knew that it was a genetically healthy embryo. But I was so worried, that our one and only embryo would some how be damaged during the thaw! But I am 24 weeks today with a healthy baby girl! Good luck!

We had a freeze all due to OHSS. Then an FET with a single frozen embryo that had been PGS tested. Will be 25 weeks tomorrow.

I had a lining check today and RE says it looks good. ET is scheduled for 7/28 if it survives thaw. I asked him today if he thought it would work. He tried to stay neutral, but seemed more positive about it. He said, "Well, it is from the cycle that gave you twins." I told him that he put the 3 best in though and only 2 stuck. He said, "But they were 3 day old embryos and this is a blastocyst!" We'll see...we had lots of blasts fail on us in the past. I HATE NOT KNOWING AND HAVING TO WAIT!!!!

HCG is scheduled for 8/11. That seems SO far away!
