NCDR: Can we talk about (baby) poop?

LOs poop has been green, really green, and sticky for the past month. Initially assocated it with being on antibiotics, a resurrection of my fore-/hindmilkl imbalance, and possible milk intolerance. While it could still be any and all of the above, I am also wondering if this is just transition poop? It still comes off the diapers like EBF poop...

Note: He does BLW and still isn't super interested in food yet (therefore hasn't truly eaten much.)

  • When we BLW it started off as EBF poop with chunks of food in it pretty much.

That is what I was thinking would happen, but then again I've never done this before so thought I should ask.

Not BLW (I am mashing the food and spoon feeding), but ditto above. DSs is still a mustard yellow. If your LOs poop is really green, it is likely from the issues you mentioned.

  • We started supplementing with formula. Depending which formula we used greatly impacted the color of her poop and how formed/hard it was. I googled baby poop colors. Dark green can sometimes be a sign of a lot of iron, at least in formula fed babies....

  • Baby poops come in all colors. Anything except extremely pale/white poop is within the range of normal. At least that's what the internet has told me the many times I've googled it.
