Old navy

How is the size fit from old navy? I've never ordered from there before and they seem to only have 6-12 or 12-18 which seems like a wide range.. It then skips to 2T so of course I went with 12-18 but I'm a little worried if it's made on the small side that she will outgrow the clothes quick.

My LO wears mostly 9 months in shirts and 12 months in pants in carters brand (I compare everything to carters brand, since that seems to be the most common brand). She's 19.6 lbs and 28.5 inches, so she's tall. Given that, she currently is wearing the 6-12 in old navy and has been for quite some time now. The pants are just starting to get a little bit short but with it being summer, I still put her in them (now they are cropped pants ;) ). I hope this helps you for reference, it is a really wide range for sizes.

  • Pretty much exactly as pp. She wears 9 mo in carters, is about 19 lbs, 26 inches, and the old navy 6-12 fits perfectly right now. Even though my dd isn't super tall, I find she grows out of old navy height wise before any other brand.

  • DS mostly wears 18 month in Carters. (I like his clothes to be a little loose) He is 23 lbs and 30in. He's been in 12-18 ON since April. He can still wear it. I agree with PP I think they are wider, which has been good for chunkin munkin over here :)
  • My experience is completely different but that could be bc lo is wide and long. She is in 9m in Carter's and she has a 12-18m pair of shorts from old navy. She can barely wear them comfortably bc her thighs being chunky.

  • I'm a little nervous now, DD is thin and short with chunky thighs. I guess I'll have to just cross my fingers they'll fit for a little while. I hate ordering clothes online but there was such good prices I couldn't refuse!
  • Same as PPs. Old navy seems to be wide but then again my little girl is a little under 16lbs. She's 27 inches so length is okay. The pants are to baggy in her for now but she can wear shirts in 6-12. Not onesies though, their to baggy. She's in 9mo pants/shirts/onesies from Carters.

Her thighs also might start thinning out now she's moving around more. I've noticed things once tight on DS' thighs are a little looser.

    This is us too.
