Camping Update

Well, we just got home today, and apparently, I was worried for nothing. DS was a champ on our camping trip! I wish I had brought a few more things for him to play with (the play area was definitely geared toward older kids), but other than that, it was great. He even took a nap in the tent by himself for TWO hours! We went on two hikes on the second day and it went great. We just took a little break in between for a quick snack. Oh, and he must have worn himself out, b/c he slept until 8 on both mornings. Score for mama! I will post photos in the HDBD thread tomorrow. So, my only advice to you mamas who are thinking about are: bring lots of snacks, and bring a few portable toys that you don't mind getting dirty.

That's awesome. Sleep would have been my biggest worry but I guess if they are tired enough they will sleep anywhere.

Did you use a carrier for the hikes?  Which one?

@jsoubel, sorry for the late response! We didn't use a carrier, b/c the walks were short (and it was pretty hot). DS just rode on DH's shoulders and walked a little of the way.
