Hello to all you strong ladies that I have been reading about for the past few months.  You are all so inspiring to me, and give me hope, a smile, or a laugh- so I thought I would finally introduce myself.  I am 31 years old and learned that I was pregnant in March with our first child.  I did an early test and proceeded to test every day for a week (I just wanted to keep seeing that positive test) then at the one week mark I started to bleed and another pregnancy test confirmed that I was no longer pregnant.  The nurse practitioner avoided using the term "chemical pregnancy", but I got the feeling that that is what she thought this was.  She advised that we could start trying as soon as we felt comfortable, so we tried even before I got my next period (nurse practitioner considered the CP my period-and doctor confirmed).  In April a period never showed up and I actually started feeling symptoms (which I hadn't felt in the first pregnancy)- nauseous, hungry etc etc.  Test confirmed we were pregnant again, blood work looked great, ultrasound was done at 6.5 weeks and heart beat was strong- we thought for sure that this was it!  Unfortunately on Mother's Day (9 weeks) I was spotting ever so slightly with no cramping.  The doctor called me in just for "peace of mind" and unfortunately the ultrasound showed no heart beat.  D&C happened the next morning and the results came back as Trisomy 13.  The doctor advised that we wait a month- but it has been two months and we finally feel ready to try again which is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.  My doctor feels confident that from the analysis the lab did that this was just a "lightning strike" type of event- but I feel like what I have read (dang you google!) is a mixed bag.  I am thinking of and praying for you all!!!

    I'm sorry for your losses, welcome to the board.  We all know the feeling about TTC again, it can be exciting, frustrating, and scary all at the same time.

    BFP#2 8/25/2013 MC confirmed 10/16/2013 @ 12 wks (D&C 10/18)

    Diagnosis: unexplained RPL, unexplained IF.

    Also have hypothyroidism

    Started TTC again 12/2013

     

    IUI#1:Clomid CD 3-7, Trigger'ed CD 12. IUI CD 14. BFN

    IUI #2:Letrozole CD 3 - 7, Follistim CD 9, Trigger CD 10, IUI CD12. BFN

    Current plan: IVF with PGD. Antagonist - Vivelle Protocal. Stim start 12/1. ER 12/14.

    So very sorry for your losses. It hurts bad enough the first time and when it happens a 2nd time, its so hard to accept that it really may just be "bad luck." Welcome to the group here, I hope your stay is short.

    Me 34 DH 31, Together since 2003, Married August 20, 2011,  TTC since May 2013
    BFP #1 August 24, 2013! MMC discovered Oct. 3, 2013, D&C Oct. 4, 2013
    BFP #2 December 17, 2013! MMC discovered Jan. 28, 2014, D&C Jan. 30, 2014
    Testing done: male with complete Trisomy 16, not hereditary. Tested me for clotting disorders, all normal.
    Feb. 2014 all clear again to TTC!  Will start progesterone supplementation with the next BFP just in case.       Oct. 2014 more testing just because, thyroid and autoimmune panels = normal.  Diagnostic U/S = no abnormalities.  Will keep trying for 3-6 more months, doctor still optimistic!

    BFP #3 December 11, 2014!  Beta #1 14DPO = 122.4 Beta #2 17DPO = 296.8 Please stick little one and be our Rainbow!

            Perfect little heartbeat of 156 seen 1/7/15 :)

    I'm so sorry for your losses. Google is not always your friend. After my d&c, I did some reading up about losses/procedures and shouldn't have. It made me feel worse, not better. I hope you find some comfort here. Welcome.
