Lol @ DH, he's not a happy camper

DH is at the urologist & he's not enjoying the experience. Said the dr squeezed lemonade out of his balls, he squeezed them so tight. He had to get blood work done and was told he has to produce a sperm sample. He's been texting me his ordeal and said "Omg... Its a ROom with porn". Lol he said I'm lucky that he loves me otherwise he'd been outta there. Ladies not for nothing but we go through soooo much more testing during a doctor observed cycle. I told him I'd give him a massage for his troubles tonight. Men are such babies

    Ha! Your DH is funny. But I agree, they are babies for the most part (partaking in wars, etc. notwithstanding!) They can't really imagine menstrual cramps every 28 days, let alone the rest... 

    Wouldn't it be hilarious if they gave us male porn to look at at the ob-gyn or RE's?

    "Herre you go, m'am, something to get you in the mood before the doctor arrives."

    Actually, I do have sympathy, for the people who work in those offices and have to clean up after the patients. Eeew.

    Haha! I don't see porn as a reason to NOT be a happy camper.

    When my DH was in the deposit room he was like 'I'm not touching anything in there!' lol

    Their experience is definitly easier than our's!

    Omg how funny. Does your DH give you a massage every time you get a speculum shoved up your hoo-ha. I think not!!!!!!
    I am glad that he is going to the urologist. If it will make him continue to figure out if something is wrong then indulge him in your sympathies.
    But he should be happy with the porn room.

    If men knew what us ladies really go through they would say forget it. Yes I wouldn't mind the dr telling me watch some porn and masturbate.

    The massage offer was thrown in so he wouldn't get discouraged and leave. Or if/when he has to return for a follow up he would go back.

    Agree! Ever since his SA (collected in a bathroom at the hospital--apparently someone came in and relieved himself in the next stall mid-collection) DH has been questioning the arrangements at the fertility clinic. I can't mention needing to call them without a reference to their porn collection and a reminder to ask if they have some ridiculous made-up (I hope) title. OK, that's actually pretty funny. Anyway, @C_Girlie, glad DH is being a trooper even if we women do bear the brunt of all this!

    September 2014: IUI #2.  Follistim + Pregnyl + Ganirelix + Crinone.  4(?) follicles--BFN
    October 2014: IUI #3.  More Follistim + More Ganirelix + Pregnyl + Crinone.  4 follicles--BFP!  Beta #1=10 Beta #2=33 Beta #3=97 Beta #4=158.  M/C 11/1/14
    December 2014: IVF #1.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  9R, 9M, 9F.  3 5-day blasts transferred 12/15. BFFN.
    April 2015: IVF #2.  Microdose Lupron protocol.  16R, 15M, 12F. Transferred 2 5-day blasts 4/12 and froze 4--BFP!  M/C 5/25/15
    August 2015: IVF #3.  14R, 13M, 11F.  Froze 5 blasts for CCS testing.  3 normals.  FET planned for 10/2015.

    I wouldn't want company while choking the chicken, either! Yikes.

    DH complained a LOT about his SA. I told him I'd like nothing more than to masturbate for a few minutes and get answers, vs all the bloodwork and testing I've had to do.
    Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN. 

    Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces. 

    UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....

    DH has gone with me to multiple transvaginal ultrasounds, and still doesn't get why I dislike them.

    My DH had no problems w/ giving his sample...but bloodwork, OMG! He freaked out and gave me the silent treatment for a whole day. I will have to remind him about the speculum/hoo-ha thing. 

    My OB/GYN didn't have a porn room but man I might never get my DH out of there if they did!

    @soontobeshrader‌ he freak out bout that too. They had to stick him twice because his vein was misbehaving. As if the fulfills camera us fun....I think not! @Austrogermokee‌ conveniently every time I have an appointment he has to work

    We share a car, so he has to drive me to the RE. Mwahahahah!!!
