Flex schedule

So I want to drive carpool for DD's preschool which would mean working from home one morning a week. I'm pretty sure my manager would be okay with it, since she's let other coworkers do flex schedules for childcare issues, but I'm nervous about asking anyway.

Would it be better to set up a separate meeting with her to discuss? Or just include with our next one-on-one? Any advice about asking for flex time?

How often do you have one on ones? If they are frequent, I would bring it up there.
When proposing it, I would recommend having well thought out answers regarding what you will be doing while working at home and when you will make lost time up if needed. Also, if an important meeting comes up during that time, would you be able to switch with another parent?
