Re: Babies babies everywhere- except my belly

  • Babies, child & pregnancy mentioned, not mine I feel your pain. I work at a school, 4 co workers pregnant, one just had a baby last week. My neighbors directly above me have a baby I have to see everyday, she's 42 years old. My DHs brothers girlfriend has a baby that my MIL talks about daily. The drug addict lady who lives across the street from me and doesn't have custody of her young child, guess what, preggo. Not to mention every time I go online I have to see some new celebrity that's pregnant or how cute Mila kunis is. I'm literally surrounded by pregnant people or people who have just had a baby. I hate to be the why not me type, but seriously IF is just not fair. I needed to vent also!

  • Ugh! I feel your pain.

    - We have TWELVE pregnant teachers at my school. (There are only 35 of us)

-2 out of my 4 closest friends are pregnant both due this fall...one literally got pregnant the week she got married.

    -SIL is pregnant with #4

    - 3 pregnant cousins and one with newborn twins

    - neighbors just had their 3rd little girl (stork in the yard and all)

And you're right the constant baby pictures/videos on FB along with women who post constant "bump updates" are enough to drive me batty!

    You're not alone!

    TTC since April 2013
Currently testing for infertility cause and hormone imbalance.
Infertility & ovarian cyst diagnosis: May '14
B/W: 'good', more ordered to check antibodies & progesterone
    SA: Normal :)
U/Ss for cyst: who the f knows
DH's cat scan: showed encapsulated fatty growth; u/s: didn't really show much more
Breast Specialist: Most likely a large fibroid, but keeping an eye on it, repeat u/s every 6mos
HSG: clear tubes, uterus is A-ok
WHAT'S NEXT: DH's consult with surgeon to discuss next step for growth, either biopsy or surgery~Big discussion with Dr. before any possibility of starting Clomid, since I'll want another u/s before and to be monitored and he doesn't seem into that. • I'm so sorry, but it is AWESOME that you won the $80!! Perhaps treat yourself to something wonderful that a pregnant woman couldn't enjoy, like allover haircolor, a fancy sushi dinner, or a day at the amusement park?

@annaclaire256 Holy mackerel, what's in the water and where can I get me some??!!

Oh my goodness, yes!  I have "unfollowed" everyone I am friends with on FB who post pictures or statuses of their pregnancy or kids.  I'm still friends with them, but their updates and posts just don't get thrown in my face.  This includes my best friend of 22 years.

@AnnaClaire256, that percentage of pregnant teachers is just CRAZY!  I don't know how you could make it through the day.

    Me: 28  MH:35

Married September 2012. TTC since September 2013

June 2014 - Dx w/ significant PCOS and referred to RE.

July/August 2014 - Testing complete: Testosterone & AMH very high, FSH slightly high, Vitamin D low, tubes and lining all lovely. DH SA: A+

    Cycle 1 (Nov 2014): 2.5 mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI = BFN

    Cycle 2 (Dec 2014): 5 mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI - BFN

    Cycle 3 (Jan 2015): 5mg Letrozole/Ovidrel/TI - BFN

    WTF consult scheduled for 1/29

  • I feel like that so often.  All of our friends that are married have kids that live locally.  I am part of a team at school and it seems everyone or their spouse is pregnant or just had a baby.  At the end of the school meeting everyone was joking about not drinking the water around there.  If only I could find that fountain, it hurt a lot sitting there knowing we were getting no where with things.

  • @BunnyBerry‌ @LindseyM2012‌ @Rcvb22‌

It's insane. It feels like every faculty meeting has someone making a "special announcement"

We have three teachers due in one week. I found out today our school custodian is also pregnant. There are only TWO of us at the school who are married and don't have kids/aren't pregnant....and her husband is in Afghanistan.

Allllll these women want to talk about are their pregnancies or their babies' milestones nonstop. I feel so isolated. You'd think working with kids would be a trigger but no...it's the 13 baby showers I'll have to attend over the next 6 months!

Yep @LLM100811‌ three of them are due the last week of September. Evidently they're all "New Years babies." What I wouldn't give to just have a wild night out with my husband and wind up pregnant. Must be nice....sigh.

  • Wow!  That is insane!  I definitely feel your pain as well.  My FB feed is covered in nothing but babies.  I've actually been considering taking a break from FB as a result because it just seems to feul my feelings of inadequecy.  The one that put me over the edge was when my husband's best friend's girlfriend got pregnant when they weren't even trying.  She's also a few year's older than me (in her mid-30s).  A few weeks later I found out my SIL is pregnant.  This will be the first grandchild in my family so now everyone is looking to us to know when we're going to make an annoucement...I wish....

  • Aww man @RNCrystal!  That is rough.  I'm not dealing with as many preggos as you but it does seem that someone close to me is ALWAYS pregnant and I can't escape it!  My closest friend at work is due in November.  Another friend/coworker's wife is due in October.  A long time family friend's wife is due in December.  Ugh, so unfair!

    April 2014 - Clomid 100mg CD3-7.  HCG shot CD10 IUI #1 done on 4/12/14 (CD12) ....BFN
May 2014 - Break cycle to repeat saline sonogram and re-group.  Travel to Kauai 5/7-5/12 (Yay!!)
    June 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD4-8.  HCG shot CD14.  IUI#2 done on 6/9 and 6/10 (CD15-16) w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW .... BFN
    July 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD3-7.  Ultrasound CD12 - 4 mature follies! HCG trigger shot CD12 AM.  IUI#3 on CD13 w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW ....BFN
July 2014 - Repeat ultrasound done to measure size of fibroid - 8x9cm (the size of a grapefruit!) Surgery referral made.
August 2014 - MRI done which revealed 2 fibroids: a 13x15cm fibroid as well as an 8x7cm one.  Super freak out mode over surgery plan.  OB-GYN/surgeon said surgery would most likely have to be a laparotomy (open abdominal surgery)
August 2014 - After a 2nd opinion, plan to take Lupron x 2 months to shrink fibroids then laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy.  Surgery date is set for Nov 21st!
November 2014 - Robotic myomectomy done (2 large fibroids removed, mild endo found).  Benched x 3 months

    PAIF/SAIF welcome
