Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: had some weird cramping yesterday everytime I sneezed or coughed. It was a pretty sharp pain but I'm just equating it to just a weird body symtom.

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift ypu ever recieved? Best present was a case (like 16 different bottles) of wine after giving birth from DH. The worse was present was a variety set of bad zombie movies for christmas. Still haven't watched them.

Rants/raves/chartstalks/symptoms: I fell asleep while temping this morning. I woke up when my thermometer beeped and my mouth was wide open! Like an idiot I went back to sleep without temping again and my open-mouth temp was way low. I'm hoping it's back up and I can stay awake to control my mouth muscles tomorrow...

GTKY: The best gift I've gotten is my engagement ring. DH wanted to ask my dad's permission, but I said it was none of his business, so to compromise, DH did not ask me to marry him. He just slipped the ring on my finger during a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. Best. Date. Ever.

The worst were the few years in the late 80s when nylon track suits were popular. My grandma got them for all her grandkids several years in a row. Yikes!

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: My temp keeps going up so that is good right? Not sure when it will go down if AF is coming though.  

GTKY: Well..my ex-mother in law gave me a red lacy negligee from Victoria Secret...except it wasn't new.  She got it at the thrift store.  It still had the stapled tag on it.

Testing plans:  Waiting until 10 DPO at the earliest. We are going to a beach trip this weekend which will include ALL the drinks. So if Im pregnant, Id kind of like to know before so I don't spend 9 months feeling guilty. 

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: I am so f-ing bloated. So bloated. It is out of control. Also I think my nips may be a tad sore but I could be symptom spotting here. 

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received?

Best: My grandma made me a quilt and gave it to me and my husband right after our wedding. I was named after her, so it meant a lot to me, and it is absolutely beautiful. It took her months.

Worst: my sister keeps buying me size 6 dresses. I am like a size 14. I want to punch her in her face.

Also, I am SUPER bloated too. I have felt gross for days. I need to stop getting on the scale; I'm usually 2 pounds heavier when I'm bloated...

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: Yesterday morning I threw up. I felt fine before...it happened almost immediately. I did take  prenatal vitamin about 10 minutes before I threw up though, so it was probably that since I had BFN today.

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received?  Best gift was my husband on our wedding day! Does that count? If not, I'll pick my engagement ring! Worst gift was my "black birthday barbie" that I got from my Aunt for Christmas...4 years in a row... until I was 16.

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: I'm extremely moody today..I could feel it coming on yesterday, but everything is just making me mad.. Like my husband who agreed to come to bed early since I was up at 5 (waiting on him to go workout with me, which he never did). Did he come to bed early? Nope! 10:30.. Why can't he care about my sleep and the fact that I nearly fall asleep on the drive home in the afternoon? Ugh! /rant

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received? Best: My dog as a promotion gift to ourselves last year. Worst: When you know someone re-gifted what they gave you.. yeah.

@bostonbaker  Im glad Im not the only one slightly worried about this. I know the rule of thumb is that theres not point in acting pregnant if you arent pregnant, but I also know myself and I would feel so guilty if I found out I was pregnant and had been drinking a ton. 

@3houlagirl  I am literally dying from the bloatedness. I feel like I look like Im roughly 5 months pregnant, and cannot comfortably wear pants. Its the worst.

Coming over from WTO, FF gave me CH earlier than I thought...

Testing plans: Not until late next week, if at all.

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: I knew timing last week was going to be difficult with my schedule. I did not plan on DH being completely uninterested. He was home when I got home every night, but stayed up hanging out with his brother. I wasn't expecting to O until Sunday so I was holding out hope we could get a few shots in over the weekend, but nope. Saturday morning was it, and it was probably too late.

I really don't want to have to outright schedule sex, but since the fact I have explained to him the need to have it at least EOD up until I ovulate PLUS letting him know when I was anticipating ovulation, PLUS outright telling him we'd have some late nights trying to work sex in last week seemed to not register at all, I may have to. I am so frustrated.

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift ypu ever recieved? DH proposed on my birthday, so that would be the best. Worst was my 16th bday - my brother conspired with my dad to keep the garage closed, and gave me a box with keys in it. I ran to the garage expecting a car. Totally empty. Jerk.

@itshumpday‌ - that is horrifying. I got weirded out getting lingerie from MIL at my bridal shower, and that was new... Can't imagine the extra ick factor of used!!! (Also DH has requested I never wear what his mom gave me, it weirds him out too :P)

 Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: DH told me not to tell him when we're having "baby sex," then constantly badgered me with questions about why we were having sex so close together (haha), and why I was so insistent that he O (we tried a third time the day of, but it was late & he was tired and just couldn't finish). And he is completely uneducated about how ovulation works and kept asking questions... 

 GTKY - What was the best/worse gift ypu ever recieved? Worst is none at all. Right before we had DS my in-laws decided that they were no longer giving us birthday presents so they could buy things for our kids. Not even a card. Sometimes they don't even call to wish us happy birthday. And it's not like they're strapped for cash. They're building a new house, bought a hot tub, and a (albeit used) sports convertible.

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received?
I'd say my pet kitten was the best.
For worst, not sure, my mom gives notoriously bad gifts: I asked for a bass and she gave me an electric guitar because she didnt like bass, she gave me a barbie I already had as a child, she re-gifted my gift to my best friend at my birthday party because it wasn't my style (Abercrombie and Fitch top when I was into alternative-style in high school, and in high school that would have been a big deal). Last year she gave me a pajama dress that was so unflattering my husband told me never to wear it again. When I asked her for a simple black winter coat, she went three sizes too big (because she assumed I'd be wearing 5 thick sweaters?) to coincidentally her size, which made it basically unwearable as I work in the fashion district of Paris. That coat turned into her cold-weather visit coat. Nowadays I beg her to give me nothing and it's so much better.

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms:  My chart is so messed up this cycle.  I don't think I will get CH with all the missing temps.  Has anyone ever switched the O detector to the OPK option?

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received?  

Best - Probably my engagement ring.  I think the birthday gift I've been most excited about was my first iPod.

Worst - I don't have a memorable bad gift, but DH side of the family doesn't really put any thought into what they buy for people so their gifts usually aren't that great.

When I got a few more temps in there and discarded the hangover temps my CHs were in the same place as the OPK option. So it worked for me. Though I'd say it depends how good you were with your OPKs/temping in total.

Symptoms: feeling off/crampy, but it's still too early for legit symptoms...I did have some spotting 4dpo which freaked me out, but too early to be ib, so perhaps irritation from too much bd?

Testing: going to hold out as long as possible or I'll drive myself crazy (too late?)

Best gift: my husband made me a personalized tea mug after we had been dating one month. Worst gift: can't think of anything at the moment

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: Nothing really. I feel like I am going to barf, but I think that is more because I just got off the phone with the RE and I have my first appointment on Monday. I did not expect to get in so soon, I only contacted them yesterday. I am terrified! 

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift ypu ever received? Worst gift would definitely have to be when I was 13, he gave me a fake surveillance camera. Like completely fake, no batteries, plastic through and through. I of course acted very gracious, but what 13 year old girl wants a toy. My grandma had passed away the summer before, and she had always been the gift buyer, and she always did a spectacular job. So I mostly felt bad for my grandpa having to fill her shoes. 

Also, I will be combing through old threads about initial visits with an RE but any information/advice would be greatly appreciated either through this thread or personal message. I honestly have no idea what to expect and I am beyond nervous.

And finally, FX for everyone this month!

Testing plans: Trying to resist the urge and wait to see if AF arrives

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: Definitely feeling different over the last few days. Super sensitive to smells. Mild nausea, but haven't actually thrown up, just get nauseous feeling, especially when I smell something foul...I thought I was going to lose it last night when I took out the trash and again this morning when I was cutting up a banana for the two boys I babysit for. Some mild cramping and slight tenderness in my breasts. It's probably just PMS but who knows.

GTKY - BEST Gift I ever received...hmmm...I don't know if it counts as a gift persay, but I still love my engagement ring and think it is the most lovely thing I've ever been given. Worst gift...I am a school teacher so there have been many sweet, but awful gifts over the years. Ones that I recall most quickly include a single homemade crayon, a ducktape wallet, and coupons to Macy's for friends and family day.

Yeah, my problem is that I have chunks of days at a time that I was on vacation or out of town and didn't temp at all.  I did take OPK tests everyday though, so I will probably switch the setting for this cycle so I at least get an estimated O day.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks:  Well, FF finally gave me dotted cross hairs today for CD 10. Based on OPK, I thought I ovulated on CD 7.  Odd.  I originally thought we had hit O-2 and O day sex.  We had family in town during my real O.  I wish I would have known.  I would have initiated sex, but I thought I was already long gone since I was getting negative OPK.  Well, I guess I can chalk this up to lots of great learning for my first charting cycle.

GTKY: I have 2 great gifts:
1.  7 years into dating my now H, he went out shopping with a friend.  I felt bad for him because I know how much he hates shopping.  When he came home he pulled out a box with 2 matching wedding bands and said, "What do you say, Lady?  Will you marry me tomorrow?"  I was starting to think he would never ask!

2.  We did get married the next day, but had a ceremony with family a year later (we were living overseas when we got hitched).  My aunt, who is an artist, asked what we wanted for a wedding present.  I told her I wanted her to make me something... anything.  She insisted that I be more specific so I told her jokingly to make me anything as long as it wasn't pink and didn't have poodles.  When I opened her gift, it was a series of paintings of pink poodles dancing in outer space.  They are amazing and hang proudly in my house to this day.

Testing plans: I'm sticking to it, I will not test until AF is late.

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks/Symptoms: Temp drop at 5DPO then a rise, another temp drop at 9 DPO (yesterday) with some spotting in the morning, but nothing else throughout the day, then horrible night sweats last night (a sign for me that AF is coming).  This morning significant temp rise with some cramping and low back pain.  I did an hour spin class yesterday, ran three miles this morning and followed that by standing on our tile floor barefoot, so I assume that the low back pain could be caused by some of that.  I'm convinced, despite my temp rise, that AF is coming tomorrow just in time for our trip to Puerto Rico..... Feel free to chart stalk and offer your thoughts, tomorrow is my test date according to FF and I still don't think I want to test.  So tired of being disappointed. 

GTKY - What was the best/worst gift you ever received? Best gift is a trip to 12 day trip to Rome by my husband (then boyfriend) for my 30th birthday.

@CrazyCupcake52‌ - I usually wake up naturally between 5 and 530, so I temp and then go back to bed until my alarm goes off. Those mornings I didn't wake up naturally until just after 6, so I'm guessing that's why the circles are open.

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received?: Best = DH paid for our ride on a gondola in Venice on my birthday so that was pretty awesome. Worst= For Christmas a few years ago, my MIL bought me one of those old time lanterns that you light up with oil or whatever. A few months prior to that, my grandfather died in a house fire and I'm completely afraid of having anything with flames or fire being lit in my house. I made that pretty clear right after he died too so I thought it was shitty of her to that.

@tricialh58   So I broke down and took a test today like an idiot. Im only 8dpo so I knew it would be negative. I apparently have the self control of a 4 year old child. Now that Ive broken down I think Im just going to plan to test every morning with FMU. Why not. It can't hurt. Im just going to use my cheapo wondfos and not my expensive FRER's.

That should work if you arent getting a bunch of positives more than once a cycle.

GTKY - What was the best/worse gift you ever received?  My birthday, 2 1/2 years ago.  DH said he was ready to TTC at my birthday dinner.  He was oblivious to the timing, but I don't care.  By the time I finished my first nursing session, DS was worth every second of suicidal-level pain I'd been through (3 years of hell made up for in ten minutes.)

Gotta rant too - this seems as good a place as any!: I got pulled over today. This hasn't happened to me in... 12 years? I was turning left so I ran up the lane with the left and right turn arrows. Yeah, apparently you can't do that? The guy was super nice and said he would give me a warning. I guess it was a verbal warning because he gave me no ppaperwork. Maybe it's safe to assume that he looked at my clean driving record and figured I really had made an honest mistake.

I was polite and joked with him and then told him that the lane was dumb and someone needs to fix it.

GTKY: Best gift... I have to say my engagement ring because DH hand carried the diamond all the way from Haifa, Israel. I have all the paperwork in English and Hebrew

Worst: my MIL gave me a deep purple velour blazer with rhinestone buttons. I had no words.
