DH wants to get one of those carriers you put on your back to carry a toddler up higher. DD is 23 lbs. we have an ergo but he wants one of those that keep the kid higher up. What's good peeps ?
Just wear the Ergo higher. I have a Tula and I wear it right under my boobs when I'm doing a back carry. Cade can easily see over my shoulder doing this. You could also do a mei tai or a woven, but those will be more difficult to learn. Kelty carriers and what not are really heavy and cumbersome, plus they do not support knee to knee. So it's very much like a crotch dangler and will not be as comfy for baby.
@pobrecita if you get a chance can you post the link? We just found an REI not too far from us. I love the Ergo but my back and chest sweat like crazy in the summer. I'd have to play around and figure out how to wear it higher...don't really use it too often anymore.
