Re: Food lovers, unite!
May the calories be ever in your favor
1) What's your favorite food? Pizza
2) Favorite meal? Pizza with a salad and house balsamic dressing
3) Favorite comfort food? Mom's stuffed shells
4) Favorite restaurant? A little Indian place up the street from us
5) Favorite recipe to make? It carries from day to day season to season. Since it's summer I will say "Spring Chicken Skillet". Basically garlic, cherry tomatoes, and chicken served over pasta.
6) What recipe do you hope to pass on to your LO? My mother's recipe for Chocolate Balls (I know, a really horrible name). They're chocolate, crushed graham crackers, sweetened condensed milk and whatever you want to mix in (we usually mix in raisins and walnuts). You mix it all together, bake it in a pan until it's gooey, roll the mix into balls, and roll the balls in confectioner sugar. They are the ONLY cookie I insist upon at Christmas time.
1) Burgers, easily. Particularly from the grill
2) PP beat me to it but steak, baked potato and broccoli
3) My mom's scratch made chicken pot pie or her tamales
4) Zoinks! I don't think I have one!
5) Its a tie! Either my own carnitas of my slow smoked pork ribs
6) All the traditional Mexican/ Mexican American food that comes from both sides of our families. (Mine is long time Mexican American and he's first generation, the food can be surprisingly different

2) Favorite meal? Pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, ham and green beans, homemade Mac n cheese, crusty French bread and butter
3) Favorite comfort food? See above
4) Favorite restaurant? My local pizza place.... I'm beginning to hate eating at restaurants. The food is never the way I want it, and I'm always thinking of how I could make it better at home.
5) Favorite recipe to make? My mother in laws cream of mushroom soup. I always sneak a bowl and some crusty bread and butter before I serve it. It's just so good. Also, my beef stew over rice.
6) What recipe do you hope to pass on to your LO? My mom's Kentucky biscuits and gravy, all the recipes I've created (as soon as I remember to write them down, hah!) such as beef stew, chili, lasagna, pasta sauce, pot roast, beef and noodles to name a few.

**December 2014 September Siggy Challenge - Favorite Thing About Fall - Fall Leaves and Apple Cider**
Pioneer Woman makes the tres leches cake recipe and the pecan pie recipe that I love to make. She makes everything so easy! I can't get on board with cream cheese in mashed potatoes, though.
