I used to have 6, because I bought two 3-packs and he takes 5 bottles a day. But this weekend, I filled the bottles and then forgot them at home, so I had to make an emergency Target run, so now I have 9. They don't all fit on the drying rack at once and it's giving me anxiety.
I bought 7 overall: three 4oz bottles that convert to snack or sippy cups and four 8oz bottles. I only have the three small ones in rotation right now but was going to sterilize the larger ones today so I don't have to wash them so often.
we have more than 15..but we don't use all of them. i take 6 with me to work daily, and have about 3-4 in the fridge at any given time..and then a zillion little ones that MIL uses at each feeding. a zillion is somewhere around 6.
Technically we have like 15 but that includes 4 oz bottles. I voted 8-9 because I was voting 9 oz bottles. I would say keep what you have. Realistically, he will only be on bottles for a few more months anyways. (Well, hopefully; babies are in charge here! Lol)

Okay, so no more bottles. Looks like it's time to get him on a sippy cup. Right now, the only purpose a sippy cup is serving is as a highchair drum while he #bangsallthethings.
holy crap, i can't believe you guys all have so few bottles. does this go for pumping/working moms too?? i didn't know having as many as i did was a lot...i always feel like i don't have enough! we wash bottles every day!

When I was pumping/nursing, I only had 3. Obv I wash them every day, and still do. Mostly b/c my dishwasher sucks anyway, so I just do them by hand.
I voted three because that's what we have at home. Our parents have two each that stay at their houses (they watch her while we are at work), so maybe I should have said seven?
We don't have a dishwasher so there was no need for a ton of bottles to potentially let pile up.
We have too many bottles. We received over 3 dozen at my shower (I only registered for 8) and ended up not exchanging them. I gave the unopened/unused ones to my pregnant friend.
Working mom here. We have six. He takes three to daycare each day. It's my DH's job to wash them each night, bit if he forgets, we have the other three sitting in the drying rack.
I have 3 Avent 8 oz. bottles and 2 Playtex drop in 10 oz. bottles. We wash daily. Bottles are so expensive to buy so many.
I am trying to transition to a cup right now anyway, although DS1 held on to his bottle for dear life as a baby. It was a long challenge to get him off so this one may be the same way. I'm not sure though because he keeps throwing his bottle after only drinking a bit and is still hungry and he attacks all of our drinks instead (which we obviously don't give him).
So many. 7 for every day. 3 for diaper bag (s) rotation. And another 6 at other Gma's house. Not counting the 4oz bottles that are now packed in storage.
8 bottles (6 fast nipples and not sure of the medium, but I only use those in a pinch). I threw away the 4 ounce bottles when we moved since she want using them anymore. I only feed poison (aka formula).
@hlb622 Try the throw away sippy cups. I had a few other types/brands, but they were too heavy for dd to hold. They come in a 4 pack for about $3 and we just wash and reuse. Target carries them.
Re: How many bottles?
This. I have my kids off bottles around 1 year.
We have about 7
