Birthday gift?

Since we've had a few discussions about birthdays; what are you getting your LO for their birthday? I need a gift idea, but I want something bigger rather than a few smaller things.

After my dad passed away, I cashed in all of his CC points for a Pottery Barn Kids GC and got E a train set that we plan to give to him for his birthday that is technically from my parents. But now I'm having a hard time coming up with something else.

Oh love the idea of a water table! I'm kind of stuck too. I feel like I just can never get any good ideas.

There are some great ideas on a thread at the bottom (I'm mobile, it's almost at the end of my 1st page) it's called "1st birthday present(s)" I think

Ugh, and I know I started to read that thread because I remember the talk of the Uglywhere chair but had completly forgotten about it. Sorry about that.

We got DD a book and two stuffed dolls. We will get her one more thing, possibly a kids CD since she loves new music.

@Zoly1103‌ I was just letting you know it was there for stone ideas that wet already said. I'm all for more threads!
I think we are doing the trike but not sure what else. I actually thought about getting her a potty chair so she'll have it when we get ready and she can sit in it when mommy goes potty..... I may do a bean bag type chair like the PB kids one but something cheaper.

We got him a Cozy Coupe, and my mom is getting him a wagon. We also already bought a little plastic slide for his big Christmas present, because I tend to buy stuff as I find it on sale and stash it until the time is right.

I'm thinking either a red wagon or rocking horse or a little car - i may hint at my inlaws if they ask what would be good gifts too. My parents are helping us with the birthday party so that's pretty awesome of them. I can't believe it's so close.

Yes, I love the trike idea and we had thought about the wagon previously. Too many ideas! The hard part too is that their birthdays are at the end of the summer. So some things they couldn't use for too much longer. I think that's my only hesitation with the water table. We could probably use the trike in the house.

I'm still thinking about getting him a wagon or the trike, although I may wait until Christmas. He got the car, the chair and the hooded towel already.

That's my hesitation as well for things like trikes, wagons and water tables etc. I really don't see a point because in about 8 weeks after DD's birthday I will likely have snow up to my knees so no one will be riding a trike.

So far I've ordered some clothes, long sleeves and some sleepwear. I got a handful of board books. I'm gonna get her more straw cups and bath supplies like wash and a couple toys. I decided mainly to get necessities and leave "toys" up to anyone that is attending her party (not that I'm gift grabby or anything I just know enough of our family are probably getting random toys) ..I do however want to get her an uglywhere chair.

We are not doing a party but I am decorating for me more than DD so that I can take cute pictures. Our first birthday colors will be pink and gold. I am DIYing most of her gifts. My month of August is crazy since I coach high school and club soccer so I have already made some gifts. I made a hair clip organizer, tutu, and customized a onesie. My Grampy and mom bought a PB anywhere chair. If you plan on doing so, do it soon. The one I wanted is back ordered until Aug. 8th!
