Rock and Play?

Is it a must have?  I am buying a gently used one for $25, so I am not out a ton of money, but I jumped on the deal.

I suck at getting my kids to sleep on any surface other than myself, so DS2 did not sleep in it. BUT, it was the only place I could put him down to brush my teeth, go to the bathroom, get dressed, etc. It was worth it to me just for my personal hygiene. Mine was a loaner from a friend though. Which reminds me...I should be giving it back soon.

Yep, love it.  DD slept in it for the first 10 weeks or so.  I think she liked the narrow "coziness" of it.  Now, it stays in my room and I plop her in there while I put away laundry or take a shower.

It's the only place DS will sleep I would have paid a million dollars for it.

Yes loved it. It was the only place my DS would sleep for the first few months. Hated the bassinet we had so I was happy to have it.

Never had one. Maybe I don't know what I missed, but I'm ok with that.

Like with lots of baby gear, it may just depend on whether your kids likes it or not.

Yep, ds had reflux, and he slept there for the first 10 weeks. Worked a lot better than the mattress elevator thing.

I was totally against it before I had one...LOVED it. Major lifesaver.

I also only had one with my second child, and loved it! Only place other than on me that DD2 would sleep.
