Looking for beach advice

We're leaving for 4 nights at the beach on Tuesday. This will be our 1st beach trip with LO. We're going with my parents and my brother's family with 2 school age girls. Our house is 1.5 blocks from the beach and quiet boardwalk. The stores and rides are about 10 blocks down the boardwalk. We will have 2 umbrellas and plenty of blankets to sprawl out. We even have a shade canopy for LO, if he sits still. LO loves my ILs pool so to be on the safe side we have an infant lifevest.

I'm looking for any beach tips that you may have, like controlling sand, keeping LO entertained, etc. Thanks in advance!

You sound pretty prepared to be honest. Baby powder is great at removing sand from your skin that might help clean off LO.

  • This makes me want to go to the beach today.

Hmm. ...... It's only an hour away. :-/

  • I am someone who overplans every aspect of my life. When it comes to packing for vacation, I can go a bit overboard. Since LO is very unpredictable lately, I don't want to miss something. We definitely have enough sunscreen to last us several vacations.

I've never heard of baby powder helping to get sand off. I'm guessing you use it on dry skin, but I should probably ask, do you put the baby powder on with his skin dry or wet?

Another question... Our primary stroller is a 3 wheeled Baby Trend jogging stroller. Will the wheels be able to roll on the sand to help us transport LO and some of our stuff?
