iphone and windows 8 computer

I would like to download my 1000 of photos to our desktop which is a windows 8 computer. Does anyone know how to get them off my phone and onto the computer?
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

    It's an iPhone? I use the cable to charge my phone and enter the USB into the computer. It pulls up a file to transfer all the pictures over :)

    can you view it back to the windows 7 desktop and do it like that. My new computer has windows 8 but there's a button to push and it makes it look just like the windows I'm used to. When I get confused doing things in windows 8 I go back and forth.. If that makes sense?

    sometimes my phone isn't recognized. Just unplug from USB and plug back in. Open iTunes and see if it is on there.

    You can go into your settings on iTunes and have it upload pictures anytime you are plugged into that computer.
