  • I live in central Florida and I work at a daycare. We have two Sophia's, both age 3. We also had another Sophia who left a couple months ago. She was two.

I worked at a different daycare last year and I can only think of one Sophia, she was an infant.

Outside of work I don't know any little Sophias.

  • BC (Canada) and I know 1 little Sophia, no Sophies (although sometimes they call Sophia Sophie)
  • I'm a school principal and it's definitely a popular name.  It seems it was more popular 7-10 years ago than it is now -- based on the ages of my students with that name.  :)

  • In our circle of friends, we have 4 Sofia/ Sophias. In both our families, there are two. Extend that out to acquaintances and that number goes up by a bit. I live in the metro NY area, if that makes a difference.

FWIW, DD doesn't have any Sophias at her daycare (or any other Olivias, for that matter)

  • I probably know 6 or more of close friend's kids under age 7 that are named Sophia. This is in a very small northern california town, so for me if feels like a bazillion, yes.

I just asked one of my 5-year-olds if he knows any little girls named Sophia (in case there have been some in preschool, My Gym, church, etc., that I'm forgetting) and he said no.
