I live in central Florida and I work at a daycare. We have two Sophia's, both age 3. We also had another Sophia who left a couple months ago. She was two.
I worked at a different daycare last year and I can only think of one Sophia, she was an infant.
I'm a school principal and it's definitely a popular name. It seems it was more popular 7-10 years ago than it is now -- based on the ages of my students with that name.
In our circle of friends, we have 4 Sofia/ Sophias. In both our families, there are two. Extend that out to acquaintances and that number goes up by a bit.
I live in the metro NY area, if that makes a difference.
Im in SoFla and personally I only know my Sophia (nn Sophie)...but I do hear the name being called every now and then in the Mall, grocery etc....it really doesn't bother me
I'm in VA, Andy neighbor has a four-year-old named Sophie who is often called Sophia. She says that at her hospital (INOVA) there were four other Sophie/Sophias.

I don't know any in person, but my SIL's neice is a Sophie and a friend from H.S. and another from college named their daughters Sophie. But I've never actually met one in my daily life.
I have two younger cousins named Sophia (one on each side of the family). One is 17, the other is 7 or 8. My friends have an almost three year old Sophia.
FWIW, DD doesn't have any Sophias at her daycare (or any other Olivias, for that matter)

I'm in Alabama and know about 3 little ones names Sophia nn Sophie. Emma, Olivia, Madelyn & Ava are much more popular here. If you don't know any I would go for it.
I probably know 6 or more of close friend's kids under age 7 that are named Sophia. This is in a very small northern california town, so for me if feels like a bazillion, yes.
I don't know a lot IRL. I know tons through message boards.
I just asked one of my 5-year-olds if he knows any little girls named Sophia (in case there have been some in preschool, My Gym, church, etc., that I'm forgetting) and he said no.
I do know one Sophia who grew up in Indy and is in her early 20s now, and a Sophie my sister used to nanny for who is maybe 5-6 now. I also know a little Sophie in England.
Re: So, do you really know, like, a bajillion Sophias?
I worked at a different daycare last year and I can only think of one Sophia, she was an infant.
Outside of work I don't know any little Sophias.
