Jogging Stroller for Under 6 months

Hola amigas. 

Shopping around today for a jogging stroller. I'm getting the sense that you don't jog with a baby that is less than six months old. Sorry if I sound like a noob, but can someone tell me why? Or clear this up in any way? Are you just supposed to walk only? Are they too fragile for jogging?

You could use a jogging stroller with your infant seat before 6 mo.  I think that most (if not all) strollers suggest not putting a baby under 6 mo in the seat in an upright position because they typically aren't sitting up very well on their own before 6 mo.  I hope this helps!

Even with an infant seat attached you aren't suppose to jog with a baby before 6 months bc their muscles aren't strong enough yet. I asked my pedi when my son was 5 months and she also said I should wait until after 6 months.

Thanks everyone! I really was clueless about this. I will not be running with my newborn! DH will just get to enjoy some baby snuggle time while I pop out for a jog. After researching jogging strollers, I decided to register for one from Chicco. It seems kind of middle of the road and has the features I want. I may stick the Bob back on the registry at the last minute to get the completion discount. We'll see.
