Question about those last weeks before babies come

Hey ladies,
Ok so I am currently on bedrest bc on Sunday I went to L and D with some pretty severe false labor pains. I am 32+1 weeks and when they checked my cervix I was already dilated 1 cm.My ob seems to think the babies will be here within the next 2-4 weeks.
I guess my question for y'all is when y'all went into labor what symptoms (other than water breaking) did y'all have? I'm feeling a TON of pressure lately and it's starting to make me nervous! Also still getting alot of Braxton hicks! I'm sorry if this was long winded, I'm nervous and it's hard to explain exactly what I'm thinking.

I've only had a singleton so far, but for me the BH became more frequent and made me say "ouch". Once I was noticing them every few minutes I started counting them with a contraction timer on my phone. Once they got to every 3 minutes apart I went in....and was promptly sent home because it wasn't dilating (had the option to stay and be induced but I declined). The next day I couldn't even walk or talk through contractions so I went in again and was 4cm dilated so I was admitted. My water never broke, they had to break it for me.

I spent a weekend in the hospital at 32w for some mild pre-e symptoms. They did a manual check and I was 1.5cm, 70% effaced and -1 station. I was contracting irregularly.

No bedrest and my water broke spontaneously at 34w. I dilated to a 6 within an hour. The week preceding I was losing chunks of MP and was contracting more frequently but not regularly.

My water also broke w my first. I wasn't dilated at all at 36w and went into labor at 37w1d. No real symptoms - about 4 days beforehand, he dropped and I started feeling pressure. But nothing else really.

I had tons of pressure the last 4 wks but was only dilated to 2cm the while time. I was then induced at 37 wks 1d.

I was admitted at 32w with contractions two min apart and slight dilation. Was sent home after two rounds of steroids and Procardia. Contracted regularly (sometimes 9 in 30min) for five more weeks and felt a lot of pressure, dilated to 4-5cm and was 80% effaced.Had to be INDUCED at 37 weeks. So you just never know. Was losing tons of mucus the whole time. Everyone except my MFM was convinced those babies were coming early. Was never put on bed rest and remained active (just walking and care for me two year old) until the end. Hang in there!

Thank you so much for all of the experiences and advice. I'm def taking it easy, and I just went to my last MFM appt... He clearly doesn't seem worried at all and I trust him wayyyyy more than I do my regular OB.( long story short, regular OB is flakey and half the time can't remember what he told me the week before)
