Contractions??

I'm currently 39W 5d. I was awoken this morning with cramping followed by back pain and pressure in my lower abdomen. I know labor can take a while so I did some laundry and showered and took a small nap. When I woke up I had what felt like another contraction(period cramping/gas pain) which lasted for 10 minutes.. I don't know if this is false labor or what to think please help!

    Could be either. Time will tell as it slows down or ramps up.

    Agreed with PP's. I'd go ahead & call the OB just to see what they say because your case may be unique to them for some reason. For instance my OB told me she wanted me on my way to the hospital when the contractions were 6 in an hour. An on call OB told me every 5 minutes. But my OB knew me best & knew what she wanted for me.
