It's the title character in a popular book I was just thinking of starting. I'm not currently pregnant, but wondering what you all think? It sounds kind of refreshing to me. I haven't known a Bernadette since I was a kid. Thoughts?
I know a Bernadette.. She's in her late teens. The whole name doesn't sound bad, but I really REALLY dislike the nicknames. It reminds me of names like Thelma, Louise (lol), Jeanette, Yvonne, etcetera

Yea on second thought...I'm not loving "Bernie" for a girl. Lol.
I've met a Bernadette, she's in her early-mid 20s, i think it's nice!! I also like the suggestion of the nn Birdie because Bernie is just not an attractive name for a girl
