Day care changed my baby

My LO has been in day care for 2 weeks and I notice he would play by himself at playmat longer vs 10 mins. top. He would also sigh from time to time. Is it me too sensitive that I feel he is a little sad and come to recognize he won't get all the attention he wants all the time so he would just face it. It makes me feel real sad but at the same time glad he is behalfing easier to take care.

You're reading way too much into it.  Sighing in an infant isn't a sign of boredom.  That's a very dramatic, learned behavior popular with more of the pre-school and older group  And his willingness to play on the mat for longer than 10 minutes is a sign of him growing up.  Attention and interaction is wonderful, of course, but kids absolutely need to learn to be happy and content without someone constantly in their face.

daycare definitely changes babies but not in the way you are thinking ... their routine is altered and therefore so are their actions ... they adjust and adapt especially if they are on the younger side.  My LO went in at 3 months and it was sad for me.  One of the first few days I picked up my LO she was crying and when she was handed to me she put her arms around me as if to say thank god you are here and stopped crying ... it broke my heart but really this had no affect on her at all ...I think daycare is harder on us than the little ones.... between the guilt & just plain missing the little buggars.  One of the perks for me now is that she naps from 5-6 when this used to be a torturous time for me.  hang in there...it'll get easier

LOL, my little one sighs at church on Sunday mornings!  No, I think its just a natural thing for them to do, he not only does it in church, but at home too.  Its pretty funny.  We look at it like "i'm bored, can we do something else now?"
