Trying to Get Pregnant

Trying since Dec - go to doc?

Hi Ladies,
New to the bump. ... Is there anything a doc can do to help to conceive if we've only been trying since dec? I am ovulating, I know when using tests.  We conceived in only 4 months last time.  Will they/can they do anything if we haven't been trying a year yet?
Thanks!!

I didn't say it's been a year... I said it hasn't been a year and will a doc even see me/anything they can do.

Re: Everyone else... Thanks.  I will try to be patient, just hard... Want them close in age yet time is passing...

  • What they are saying is that you should wait a year to see a doctor unless you are over 35 years old. Then it would be appropriate to see a dr about it now. Other than that, wait it out.

  • If you are not already start temping to confirm ovulation and start doing EOD sex. We only have a 20% chance every cycle to get pregnant and if you could be missing that completly and not even realize it. Check out the newbie blog it has a lot of info there to get you started an on the right track.

Also I agree with PP healthy couples under 35 can take a year to get pregnant so if you are under 35 wait until you hit the one year mark before seeing your doctor, anytime before that is a waste of yours and their time. If you are over 35 I would see a dr.

Some women here have been ttc their first for 2-3x longer than you for your second child so be compassionate in regards to expecting that your impatience outweighs their own experience.

Suggest you read the newbie link and stick around, do you chart your fertile signs?  Have you heard of Toni Weshler's book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility? In the time of your trying what do you mean by trying? Confirming ovulation with bbt, cf, cp? Do you know what I'm referring to?

Give a shot at learning about your body and meeting people on the wto or 2ww threads

    Best wishes

  • WhoCanItBeNow  wasn't trying to just offering my .02 which might be worth .00.  I'm ok with that.
