Question for the Campers...

We are in the market for a new tent. One that will fit our two twin cots and the pack and play with preferably enough room to stand up in. Any suggestions??

Cots?! Bahhh! That's not real camping! ;) Might as well be in a camper!

I have no ideaaa about a nice big tent. Just wanted to comment and harass you. ;)  We have a 4 person tent and we sleep on the ground, but the more and more I think about it, your camping sounds a lot more comfy! :)

I think any of your large family tents will be big enough. You can go run of mill Colemen tents--good for summer and mild weather. If you plan on going in any colder weather, then you'll have to spend more on an all weather tent.
  • Well, they can be expensive, but LL Bean has the best tents out there. Well worth the money. They are easy to pitch, tall enough to stand up in, and have enough room for sleeping bags/cots as well as all your gear.

They also last FOREVER. My parents were married in 1966 and got an LL Bean tent for a wedding gift. My dad (and stepmom, ha ha!) still uses it on camping trips.

Thanks all! Yes, we go camping in colder weather. The cots are only elevated about a foot, but it keeps you from waking up covered in dew! (Plus then you have extra storage space. ;) )

ETA: We don't mind spending on this - our next trip is coinciding with our 5th anniversary. So, that will be our "present" to each other. :)

  • We have a 10 person $99 one from Kmart, and it fits two queen blow ups and the pack and play and all the stuff with plenty of walking or head room. So glad we got the 10 person instead of 8!
