Man, most of the books I like I wouldn't actually want to live that life, all full of death, drama and badness. I'm going to steal the Elizabeth Bennett idea. I would sorely miss indoor plumbing, but I'd put up with a lot for that kind of architecture. And Mr. Darcy of course. But that house, yo.

Rants/raves/chart stalks: I got a positive OPK yesterday so I was excited for last night when my husband got home. But things didn't go exactly as planned, so we had a little chat about things this morning and got pretty much no where. He is very much relaxed, and let's just have sex whenever and it'll happen but I keep trying to tell him that there's a fertile window and our best shot is if we hit those days. He should know all of this too because we already have a daughter. Regardless, we are keeping on keeping on and things just keep going. So basically I'm tired and a little frustrated with the hubs. On the positive side, we're going to a Royals game tonight and I haven't been for years so I'm excited. I love baseball!

GTKY: If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose? That's hard because there's a lot of characters I would love to step into. Katniess, Hermoine, Rory Gilmore, Emma (Jane Austen), Elizabeth Swan (Pirates of the Caribbean).

Rants/raves/chart stalks: Ok, I am much less anxious/frustrated, yes that means we had sex!  Finally.  Also we had a long talk and I agreed I had been frustrated bc I knew it was time to get busy and he wasn't feeling well= me getting pissy and him certainly not being turned on.  I apologized and agreed to calm the fuck down... he doesnt perform well in those circumstances.  It was nice of course to have sex but mostly us talking and getting on the same page worked wonders for my attitude and I finally got some sleep! Very unrealistic to expect a + from this cycle but we worked through our issue and that is much more important in the long run. Just wishing I o'd yesterday instead of Wed... and still not sure with no ch's but, chart stalk anyone?

What are you doing to get pregnant? basically all of the things.

 

Rants/raves/chart stalks: I AM SO OVER THE OPKs.  I had almost-positives Tuesday am/pm, Wednesday am/pm, and Thursday am, but then by last night i was back to barely-there lines.  And i had zero temp change this morning, so i definitely didn't O after getting the almost-positives.  I'm bummed because i was hoping for a shorter cycle this month (last month it was 34 days, and my first month off BCP), but i guess not.  Hopefully i'll turn a positive this weekend or early next week...based on my last cycle, FF estimates my O to happen next Saturday.  In the future, i'm not touching an OPK until at least CD12 (i got a little excited to start them this month).

 

GTKY: If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?  This is really hard.  Blair Waldorf probably?  I've always considered myself a Blair Waldorf/Liz Lemon/Elaine Benes hybrid (but without any of the money to buy a Waldorf wardrobe unfortunately). :-)

Hi guys - I will post and comment later but one question: no O yet. No positive OPK, in fact, the lines are lighter (peak darkness Sunday but not quite control) and now I have watery CM. Any thoughts? Chart reveals nothing. I've had some twinges in my lower abdomen intermittently since Tuesday. We haven't had sex since then either.

Any guesses?

Next month I'm going to temp vaginally and at a consistent time when I'm
Not working nights. At least I could get 4 solid temps a week that way. I also have the air conditioner going which I'm afraid is skewing things as well.

I'm open to any ideas of anything at this point. Now I have no clue. I guess EOD sex is best to be safe.

@ava826-Speaking of second lines, when I got my first positive OPK you would have thought it was a BFP! It took my 3 months before I caught my surge!

@delujm0-sorry your cycle is bumming you out. For what it is worth all my cycles are between 30 and 39 days and that is not so bad. There are ladies here who have 50 or 60 day cycles.

Rants/raves/chart stalks: I've had a super sore throat the last 2 days and I'm paranoid it will turn into tonsillitis.  I'm on vacation and don't have any in network hospital anywhere around.  I can be covered if I go to the ER, but nothing else.  FX it goes away today!


GTKY: If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose? I narrowed it down to two. 
1.  Pippi Longstocking - because who wouldn't want to have super strength, live with a horse and a monkey, and have a pirate cannibal king for a father!
2.  Clare Fraser from the Outlander Series.  I love Scottish history and even though she had a lot of hard times, she always tried her best to help others and stay strong.

@Budders12 The same thing started happening to me a few months ago.  Instead of my period slowly diminishing over time, it just kind of stops.  I still always think it's a trick of some sort and it's going to come back.

@lilsneezy Good luck at your appointment.  That sucks that H can't come along.

What are you doing to get pregnant?:  PNV, temping, OPK, sex

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks:  Well, I'm confused, but not surprised.  On CD 7 I started OPK and in the morning it was almost positive, by evening was barely there and by yesterday morning (CD8) it was stark white.  Had fertile CM on CD 6&7.  I guess this could mean I ovulated on CD 7 and started doing OPK too late. Probably, knowing my luck. I guess we sort of covered our bases.  My temps are also really rocky.  Can't wait to see what temps look like over the course of the whole month.  I think I'll have to start temping vaginally next cycle.  Also, my left ovary (that has ached pretty consistently for about 6 months) is really achy today.  Annoying because it's yard work day.  Ok, venting over.  Now I can go about my day.

GTKY: Gandalf... because I'm that kind of nerd.

DaikokuJess  have you had a pelvic exam recently?  I worry about ovaries that are achy for long periods of time...could be a cyst.  I had to have a cyst removed a couple of years ago and i wish i had gone in when i felt the achiness instead of waiting for my annual appointment to be told that i needed surgery. Also, some larger cysts (like mine was) will prevent you from either getting ot staying pregnant, so if you have one you should find out about it ASAP.

 

Also, i hear you on the ovulation concerns...i had fertile CM Monday - Wednesday this week but no positive OPKs.  They were almost positive for a while and then they went clearly negative.  My temps are VERY consistent, so i definitely didn't O.  I'm thinking i had a secondary surge about a week early.  And also that maybe i'm not so good at CM analysis. :-/

@delujm0 I have been having constant ovary aching and every day breast tenderness for quite a few months starting shortly after my loss in September.  I took these concerns to my ob/gyn in March.  She did an ultrasound and everything looks great.  No cysts, I'm ovulating fine, and ute looks great.  She wants to look into endo since I also have a lot of other issues that point to it.  I just am being a chicken haven't gotten around to it yet.   Did you find success after having your cyst removed? 

I can relate about not yet feeling proficient at CM analysis.  I'm still learning.

Forgive me if I eff this up majorly. I'm mobile. Here is my chart. I think I need to temp at a consistent time on the days I get to sleep at night, temp vaginally and pay more attention to my CM next cycle. In the meantime, we are going to have ED sex all weekend and then go to EOD the following week. Wish we had sex last night but was exhausted.

Box not cooperating.....

DaikokuJess  well i had "success" as far as not having pain anymore, but at the time i had my cyst i wasn't TTC.  I just started trying this month.  The cyst was just a fun and unexpected surgical procedure.  I had pain usually when working out in that area and just dismissed it as cramps.  But apparently it was a dermoid cyst the size of a softball.  It was so big that my ute was collapsing into itself to make room for it.  So if i WAS TTC at that point there's no way it would have stuck, there was no room for a baby.  My periods were VERY light at the time, so that should have been indication to me that my ute wasn't producing as much lining as it would have if it wasn't being condensed into a tiny ute ball.  It was good that it was found though, as those suckers can twist around your tubes and be very painful.  My ob/gyn was able to get it out of there laproscopically without having to take any of the ovary, so it shouldn't have lasting impact on my fertility, thankfully.

 

It wasn't a fun procedure, but honestly i was able to go back to work 3 days later (on OTC pain meds) and i ran a half marathon 12 weeks later.  I had trouble lifting stuff for a few days (and wasn't allowed to pick up my cats for about a week) and i was banned from working out for 2 weeks, but otherwise it wasn't too terrible.  I didn't even have to spend the night in the hospital.

 

Dermoid cysts are totally gross though.  i guess they're egg follicles that go haywire and start growing inside of the ovary?  they detailed the "stuff" that they found inside it and it was SO GROSS (stop reading now if you're earily nauseated) like blonde hair, and some teeth and other gross stuff.  NASTY.

@Wine&Cupcakes - anecdotal, but last month I had EWCM, then watery, then EWCM again before I O'd.  Maybe your watery stage jumped in similarly?
