Empty sac at 5 weeks ultrasound

Hi: today I has an early ultrasound due to a previous miscarriage and radiologist only saw an empty sac no heart beat. I'm mesuaring 5 weeks and so scared thinking that going to have another miscarriage

Is it possible that your dates are wrong, and you're actually only  5 weeks along? If so, it's not uncommon for there to be no heartbeat yet.  FX for you.  I hope you get great news at your next appointment!

Mainly a 5 week scan is to check for ectopic pregnancy. You wouldn't see a HB at 5 weeks. At best you'll see a yolk sac. 

Was your radiologist concerned?

At 5 weeks 3 days all i saw was a gest sac and a yolk sac. Its very normal to see nothing else at 5ish weeks. At 7 weeks 3 days there was fetal pole and heartbeat.

Do you know how far along you are supposed to be? FX that everything is okay and that you just ovulated a little behind.

I didn't see a heartbeat till almost 7 weeks...5 weeks is still early.

If you're too early you'll only see the sac.... At my 5w2d u/s you only saw the sac with a tiny yolk sac inside. They're going to do another u/s right?

fingers crossed. But that's a normal ultrasound for 5 weeks. I saw the same thing at 5 weeks and my doctor said "the embryo and heart beat will be here at the end of the week".

At 5 weeks all I saw was a sac.  The tech and doctor both said we wouldn't see much more until the 8 week appointment.
