CPW: Third-tri ladies, is your bag packed? 33 votes

Yes, it's all ready to go - minus a few essentials I will throw in last minute

Bag? Who needs a bag? I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants gal

Re: CPW: Third-tri ladies, is your bag packed?

  • Not only is my bag packed, I brought it with me to my OB appointment today (well, I left it in the car). Why? Because I had some light pink spotting the morning, and I wanted to be prepared in case they felt the need to admit me or something. (Background: I had a bleeding scare three weeks ago and was admitted for two days.)

I wasn't admitted, and the OB is not concerned about this very minor spotting at this stage, but that bag is at the ready no matter what. :)

It's on my long to-do list, but I haven't tackled this just yet. I have a few things in mind I know I want to put in there, and I'll probably make a check list in the next week or two. My goal is to have it ready to go by 36 weeks.
I'm stealing your goal. :)   I need to buy some stuff. I have no nursing tops/bras and I don't even have a robe.

  • I just packed it this week, minus the last-minute stuff. I have a couple more things to pick up at Target tomorrow (essentials, like snacks and candy. lol)   I brought way too much when I had DS so I scaled back a lot this time and it feels like I'm missing stuff.
  • I'm 33w+ change and I haven't packed anything.

(I also don't have a crib for the baby, a RnP or even a PnP.....or any cloths until she's about 6 months old...::hangs head in shame::)

I didn't have a car seat or any clothes until 34 weeks. Time just creeps up on you!

Pregnancy just seems so long. Then, one day, you wake up and your due date is looming within weeks instead of months. It's hard to comprehend. :)

  • I have been told by other new moms that those early trips to the store are actually a welcome excuse to get out of the house.
