I know that a lot of people do it... but I'm curious if most people put the baby name in letters on the wall or if they just find other cute pictures or wall decals.
**siggy warning**

We bought a shelf off Etsy with his name spelled out. At the time, it was to display some hardcover books we had purchased but the actual ledge is really shallow and didn't accommodate the books.
would get a sample of the product before investing a large sum. The walls at our house have so much texture, the one Target Decal fell off almost immediatly. Sticks great to the door though.
We ordered fabric letters off etsy and have that on the wall above his crib. My sister has letters that are wrapped in yarn on a shelf above her girls' cribs that are also super cute.
I'm not artistic so I ordered some custom letters off Etsy that spell DD's name. Each letter is decorated to match the theme of her room. I sent the person pics of the room, told her my color preferences and left the rest up to her. She did an amazing job. They are super cute.
Its totally up to you but what we did and are doing with this baby is going to a craft store and pick out the style and size letters we want and paint them ourselves. And I pick out a pretty ribbon to hang it with. For us, it's something cute that can stay in their room as they get older, its something mommy and daddy actually made for them, and doing them yourself adds creativity and you can make them unique. I looked on Pinterest for ideas that were for girls and that were in the colors I wanted to do her room in. My DH was the one who attached the ribbon with his handy staple gun and he hung them up over the crib. If you don't wanna do the whole name, do your LO's initials. But its totally up to you....I just liked doing it myself cause I could design them and it was cheaper!
We had a custom monogram made from an etsy artist. Pretty pricey, but we plan to have it in her room forever. They are also huge and made of solid wood, not the cheap wood.

We did a decal of a cherry blossom tree and a name. I personally prefer that look to the letters but of course it depends on the decor and your personal taste. No right or wrong way of doing it.
Re: just wondering... name on the wall?

Of course the possibilities are endless!
