Grovia or Bummis Bio Liners?

LO is finally starting to actually eat some solids though still not much with BLW, so I am starting to think of the in-between stage of EBF and real poop :(

I would like to grab some bio-liners for this and just to have incase of needing to use non-CD safe creams in the future. Anyone have any experience with either of these brands? Likes/Dislikes? Is there a different brand you would recommend?

Re: Grovia or Bummis Bio Liners?

  • I use the Bummis liners (size small) when we use them. They work pretty well, although the in-between stage is still tricky b/c it slides off the edges of the liner quite often. The Bummis are fairly soft...kind of like a used dryer sheet...and I like them better than the Kushies liners we had before (very stiff).

Also, FWIW I have read reviews from people who wash and reuse the pee-only liners. Mine never survive the wash cycle, and I'm personally just not going to wash them out by hand.

We use the bummis ones at my parents house so I don't have to dunk and swish. I like them. But like sak said, E had ploppable poo for a while, but it's been nasty pb poo for the last year or so. :(

  • We love the bummis.  My hubby uses them with most diaper changes, and we're taking them with us when we visit my out of town in-laws for two weeks.
  • I have bumkins I think.

I found that if I lay them completely unfolded, so it hangs over the leg holes, put the diaper on, and tuck the liner in, it keeps most of the poo off. If I folded it, it bunched up and poo still had to be dunked.

  • i bought the bummis liners to use last year on vacation and i found them to be more hassle than they were worth.  they always ended up bunched up in the diaper so i still had to deal with getting poop off of the diaper anyway.

and what is the "in between" stage you're talking about?  once my kids started any solids and their diapers needed to be dunked/scraped/sprayed, it was the end of it.  we have never had plopable poop in this house, so you might be in the in between stage forever
I thought I had read that while the poop transitioned that it was a good idea to use liners...

And since you say that some babies live in the transition stage for awhile this will totally be my LO. He never follows the normal pooping guidelines...

    Thanks for all the information!
