CPW: Your Reproductive Plans

I know we've discussed this a little in the past but was curious as to where you stand now that LO's are turning one soon. Are you getting the itch to try for another LO? The board is slow and I'm nosy so tell me your plans!

We are planning on waiting a few years... maybe start trying when he's around 3? We still need to buy a house and all that fun stuff.

We want our second close in age to DS but everytime we have a rough night or day, I question trying too soon. I think we will really think it over this summer and if we decide, try this fall.

We have an oops! Just got two lines on the stick this past Monday. Getting bloodwork done on Friday. DS and baby #2 will be 18 months apart. Scared out of my wits right now as we were only planning on having one.

I think we will try when LO is 2 years old. We are hoping to only have one in diapers at a time.

No more babies. This shop is closed. We got pregnant with #2 just after Griffin's 2nd birthday.

We are not using any goal keepers but I have yet to get my period so I take monthly POAS because I convince myself I'll end up on I didn't know I was pregnant. We'll start tracking ovulation and all the other fun TTC in Dec/Jan

I figured since I've asked everyone else to share I should share also!

H and I aren't trying, though we haven't been preventing the last few weeks. We hadn't discussed anything, just went with things in the heat of the moment/s. Last week we talked about it a little and H said he didn't want to try, but if it happens that's fine. I'm secretly hoping it happens, though on those tough days I try to imagine how tough it would be with another child to care for and wonder if I've lost my mind!

Depends. When LO is snuggling quietly with me and a book, I want to have many, many more babies. When he's awake for the third time at 4 a.m., I think, "Nope! This is enough!"

Thanks everyone! It was a complete surprise! The shock has worn off a little, but it's still crazy to think about having 2 under 2. How does one stay sane?? 8-}

Done. My boys are 2 years and 2 weeks apart and I love it. I kinda thought I was PG for a bit when my period was being funky but all tests were negative.

I was a little bummed it was negative. Don't tell my husband.

But I do feel very complete with my two.

Talking and planning. If everything goes smoothly I will get my iud taken out in the beginning of 2015. We want to start ttc when LO is around 18 months!

DH and I said we'd see how this one goes before deciding whether to have another.  At this point, I'm pretty sure DH wants a second (not now, but at some point in the next few years), but I haven't made up my mind.  I want LO to have a sibling, but I also have no idea how I would cope with 2 kids (emotionally or financially).  Whatever we decide, 2 is my max.

The official word between my husband and I is that we're 'not preventing but not trying'. The reality is that I'm already in the crazy lady train O testing and getting huffy when hubby won't DTD in the 'right' day. I so didn't want to get like this so early on as getting and staying pregnant is a tough gig for me and I wanted to try and stay casual about it until we started properly trying in Dec. So much for that.

We want 1 more, but not right now. We're focusing on financial stuff at the moment, in addition to DH's new position at work. There's always the possibility of a job transfer, and we would actually LIKE to transfer eventually, but he feels like he needs at least another year here. Soooo maybe when E is 3 or 4? I want to be done by 30, and I'll be 26 in September.

We're not sure if we're done or not but we won't decide for a few more years. We like the 3-4 year gap and prefer enjoy the baby/toddler stage while we're in it. And now having survived the toddler years there's no way in hell I'd want two kids in that stage at the same time.
