Excited about OFFICIALLY TTC!

My Husband & I will be together for 5 years this November, We've been married for a little over a year & we are FINALLY on the same page about TTC. I know it will still be a process, but how exciting right?! I've been wanting to be a mom for as long as I could remember but always wanted to make sure we are steady and all my schooling was completely under my belt. With graduation this past June I've been extremely excited to hit that "huge goal" before trying for a baby. Any advice from you wonderful ladies would definitely be appreciated! Were there "tricks" that worked for you? Besides tracking, taking your temp, were there any other options that seem to help you" I'm definitely open to advice :-)

    Welcome to the board. Aside from tracking cycles and temps, I would suggest using OPKs, as they may help you identify the fertile window before ovulation happens. A lot of women use Wondfo OPKs from Amazon because they are cheaper than the drug store option.

    plus amazon is great for buying the wondfos pregnancy test too. I also get my Frer from there.

    Son: Jackson, 11/02/06, stillborn due to PPROM and IUGR. Over the next ten years we had 9 miscarriages from 8-14 weeks. On May 18, 2016 my daughter, Ridley, was born. We're OADNBC.

    DNA Results (7/1): DH is NOT a carrier for my genetic disorder! 
    7/3: Metabolic clinic gave the green light to TTC - holy crap!

    For those in the US, we treat our yard every few weeks with a Sevin (or something like it) to keep the bugs down in the yard and keeping deet off of us every night.

    Honestly, there are no 'tricks' besides consistent good timing. You've got a 20% shot every month. If there were tricks, I would not still be here. In addition to temping/charting, using OPKs can help you hit good timing each month because they'll give you a little bit of a head's up that O is/might be coming whereas temping only confirms after the fact.

    **Loss 1-Cycle 7(June 2013) at 5w6d-CP**Loss 2-Cycle 11(October 2013) at 5w4d-CP**
    **Loss 3-Cycle 14 (January-February 2014)-M/C dx 2/10, EP dx 2/24, MTX 2/25**
    Beta Hell--hCG finally down to 0 - 6/20/14
    SA normal. Genetic testing normal. Hormonal testing normal.
    HSG 6/30/14 - found blocked left tube and 2 'bubbles' on uterine wall.
    Hysteroscopy/Lap--8/4/14 - Tubes unblocked. Polyps removed from uterine wall. Septum removed.
     9/30/14--Off the bench! Unmedicated TI through December 2014
    BFP 12/14/14!!! Beta #1, 12/16: 990 Beta #2, 12/18: Over 2000! Beta #3, 12/22: over 8000!
     U/S #1, 12/23: gestational sac, possible heartbeat
    U/S #2, 12/30: HEARTBEAT! 128bpm, measuring right on at 7w EDD: 8/19/2015
    U/S #3, 1/9: BPM in the 180s, IT'S HAPPENING!!!
