Trouble TTC

2WW First Timer

Hey Everyone,
This is my first ever cycle that ovulation has taken place. We timed BD using OPK and doctor recommendation. Now I am hoping for a BFP in 2 weeks. I am really trying to not get excited, but this is the first time I have ever ovulated. How do you keep yourself from getting to carried away?
Thanks for the support!

Re: 2WW First Timer

  • Wouldn't know...have never ovulated. All my positive OPKs have been false. Good luck though! I was excited the first time I saw that positive too! :)

  • Oh man. Honestly, try to focus on something else. (Cliche, I know!) I started meditating and that seems to help.
  • Best relaxer for me has always been a nice long hike or walk with MH and/or reading a good book.  I get lost in books so I read as much as I can to distract myself.

  • Hi! So happy you finally O'd! I know that when I (hopefully) O next month with the help of meds I will be so excited since it's been so long! I would recommend trying to find something to distract your mind from thinking about it. I have actually found reading seems to help me the most because my mind is focused on the plot of the story. Also, reading before bed has helped me to not think about everything when I'm laying in bed. Good luck!
