My NB Stash and Prepping

Finally! I am ready to prep my diapers, which I will probably do tomorrow. Here is my NB stash:

Used:

3 NB fitted various brands

4 NB workhorses

12 NB GMD PF

1 Kissa AIO

1 Wonderworks AIO

1 xs BG AIO

2 xs Fuzzibunz

2 xs Thirsties covers

12 fleece liners

small wet bag

35 wipes

New:

12 size 1 osocozy PF

2 Thirsties size 1 duo wrap covers

2 NB covers

Then I have my CD-safe cream, pail with 2 liners, medium Bummis wetbag. I made my detergent.

So I think I am all set, I just want to make sure I have the prepping down. The used items I know I need to wash with 1/4 c bleach. So do I just put the bleach in the same way I normally would, in the same wash cycle? And I can't remember if its cold rinse/warm wash or vice versa.

For the new diapers, I know the pf *should be* washed 3-5 times. I can wash these with towels, correct? Can i just throw my new covers in with the used diapers since they are just covers?

Thanks for all your help so far, I know I will need more when it actually comes time to wash the dirty dipes! I'm still getting used to my new giant washer.

I put the bleach in the bleach dispenser in my washer and let it do it's thing and then followed with a bunch of cold rinses until the bleach smell was out of the diapers. It took about 4 rinses I think.

About temperatures, for my normal washes I do warm quick wash (no soap) followed by a hot wash with detergent and a cold rinse. I'm pretty sure I used hot water for my bleach cycle as well.

I don't see a problem with throwing your new covers in with the used diapers but I'm no expert.

That's all that I have experience with so I'm sure you'll get some better answers from the other ladies here. So exciting that you get to meet your LO soon!
