Toddler formula?

So the last two months LO has been on the target brand formula. Tomorrow he will be 10 months!! (Already) geez. But I saw at target they have a more toddler grow formula designed for 9-24months. Has anyone switched to that or no? It's a lil more milk based so that when u transition to cows milk it won't be such a big switch. Also for the LO that are on the go. I was thinking of trying it. But wanted to see if anyone else had and any thoughts. Thanks!!

Re: Toddler formula?

  • I kind of find the concept of formula designed for babies past 1 to be unnecessary. It seems most ped's are strict on baby being on WCM after 1 and no formula (mine most certainly is). Then again, I've known people who keep their children on formula until 2 if the child is a "bad eater".

We got some samples of the Enfamil Toddler formula. I don't think it's necessary, but we'll see how she does. I'm not going to cut her off at 1 year cold turkey if she's not ready.

Edit: Milk is the one thing that DH has mentioned to me that he wants me to start buying organic when she starts drinking it. We aren't ones typically worried about organic groceries. I get the organic apples because he says they taste better, but that's it.

  • Thanks! I was only thinking of trying it from 10 months til 12 months. Didn't know if it was more milk based it wld help the transition to WCM
  • I agree I think it's a gimmick. Most of the infant formulas are through 12 months when they'll probably be switching to milk anyway.

  • My sister uses this with her one year old. She likes it because she can take it on the go in the hot summer heat and not have to worry about milk spoiling.
