I have come to dread bedtime. It is starting to take two hours of fighting her to get her to sleep. Like all out crying harder than she does when she gets a shot. It takes a lot of energy and patience and me screaming in to a pillow. Please tell me I'm not the only one dealing with this crap. I'm exhausted.
Re: Bedtime = torture
Could you try getting her to wind down for a long while before you want her to go down? So if you want her to go down at 8, and she's doing it at 10, maybe start winding down even by 6? Maybe tell her bedtime is coming soon, switch off the TV and get rid of any other loud stimulation, listen to soft music/ read books, bath routine, cuddle for a bit, etc, so she's nice and prepared for sleep time?
We are in the same boat. Luckily he is still in his crib and seems to be content when in but it takes a ridiculous amount of time for him to go to sleep. Naps and bedtime take him 1+ hours before he falls asleep. I can't imagine what it what be like if he was in a bed. Omg I don't want to think about it. I actually went and looked at mattresses yesterday, what on earth came over me.
