Placement call!!!

Yesterday afternoon I got a call asking if we would take placement of a 3w fd. Very low legal risk and we will be able to pick her up from the hospital tomorrow! It is entirely surreal. She has two older siblings that will be finalizing their adoption this week with another family nearby, but they just couldn't take a third. So, there is a very high likelihood that she will become part of our forever family! I actually "bumped" into the adoptive mother of the other two in an local online group when I was asking some questions about some of her medical concerns. Sounds like we will have some support there as well.

We got to spend an hour and a half in the hospital with her last night, she is so teenie and precious. She melted our hearts. Her mom wasn't able to make it, although she said she wanted to do the feeding while we are there, so we missed that opportunity, but I'm sure there will be more. We were hoping to bring her home tonight, but she lost a little weight this morning, so likely will have to stay a bit longer.
